You get everything you need to start making soap! I really like the melting pot and the warming plate. That's the biggest reason I got this set. The kettle has a nice little pour spout making it super easy to pour into molds. you get what you need to make watermelon soap which I did end up making and thought it was a cute little summertime gift to give away to people. You get the soap cutters too, which you can use all the time.

This kit is so fun to have if you need hobbies. I've recently been into trying different hobbies, so when I saw this soap making kit I had to try it. The instructions were very easy to follow. I was able to watch short videos along the way to fully understand the soap-making process.It comes with the hot plate, melts, soap base, and molds. After my second try, my soaps look professional. The thermometer was a huge help during the process because we knew when it was hot enough for the soap solution.The soap cutters were also great because we were able to effortlessly cut our soaps into any design.

Great kit for learning how to make soap for the beginner, and honestly, even for the experienced maker, to try some new ideas. This complete kit comes with literally everything you need, including a hot plate, dyes and three different soap bases to experiment. All of the items in the kit are of good quality. The instructions are step by step and easy to follow. The kit creates cute and all natural bars of homemade soap! I recommend this kit for anyone!

This is a really great basic soap making kit. It’s the perfect way to get started and try out soap making before really making a huge investment in supplies and stuff. You learn how to make a couple of basic bars of soap. Everything you need is included. Molds, soap base, dye, fragrance, melting pot. I love that this one even comes with a little hot plate.

The price is worth the tools alone but that’s the extent of the positives.As a result of the disaster that followed the only photo I got to document the process of making this soap - it’s all I was able to capture. Before I get to that, let me detail the positives and the reason it still receives 4 stars.The burner plate gets HOT. To achieve 176° you need not go past 3 on the temp dial or you’ll scorch the wax. It’s small but the melting kettle fits perfectly on the burner.The kettle is easily cleaned and both soap “knives” are well made and sturdy. This and the digital scale is worth the price alone.However, there’s the negatives that negates a 5 star review that if not for the equipment (perfect for a newbie into soap making and a practice “round”), it would render a 1 star rating.The soap ingredients are not listed. No indication of what the bases are at all in the packaging or instruction manual included. If you’re particular about what products you expose yourself to - this is highly problematic. Same concerns exist for the dye and the essential oil.The biggest problem I had was with the dye itself. It doesn’t drip appropriately so I snipped the tip of the dropper off with some scissors when I tried to put the drops in and it wouldn’t come out. Once snipped, it still wouldn’t drop out of the vial so I applied a SLIGHT amount of pressure to the tube and the top of the stopper exploded, covering oatmeal colored cabinets in red dye. Now I have to repaint my entire kitchen.Though I’m not new to soap making, I wanted to do exactly as the instructions suggested and approach as a newcomer to soap making in the interest of encouraging someone to take on the hobby. While the instructions are clear, the weight of the wax is off by several grams for each “layer” and the suggestion to wait for saponification before laying the next layer isn’t mentioned until the end of the steps as well as no mention of the need for rubbing alcohol (not provided) between layers leaves some room for improvement.All said, the kit is a great introductory set and depending on your personal preferences for ingredients and then being listed, it’s a great choice. Just be very mindful of the dye caps… and your cabinets.

I love this soap making kit. It has everything you need when making soap. The soap cutters are durable and sturdy. The essential oil is incredible it’s high quality essential oil. This kit has high quality products to make incredible soap. I’ve never made and used watermelon soap before but it’s amazing, wonderful scented soap.

This is an amazing soap kit, and the components are all really high quality. I was especially impressed with the 4" silicone mold and two cutters which seem durable like they'll last many uses. The cutters are sharp and made cutting the soap a breeze. A couple things to note are the watermelon fragrance is definitely not "essential oil" it's mislabeled fragrance oil. They don't really sell genuine watermelon essential oil. The soaps also did not come with an ingredients list, so it wouldn't be suitable if you have allergies or intend to sell them. However, the soaps seemed like great quality. I went and did my own soap design, but appreciated the inclusion of instructions for beginners. I absolutely love this soap kit which has everything you need for a good price, and I can't wait to make more soaps with it!
