UPDATE: I have been able to use the replacement tube by pushing the solder paste out without the syringe tip attached and using a toothpick to adhere it to my jewelry. The mixture is just too thick to use the tips. It’s not ideal but it’s still the only low temperature solder paste that works with my torch and holds 95% of the time. It still burns up occasionally so I think the product could be improved. My first purchase of this solder paste was okay, though it seemed like halfway through the tube it was not soldering as smoothly. There wasn’t enough flux and the solder was just burning up and turning black. The second tube I ordered arrived dried up and too hard to be pushed out of the syringe. I returned it and was sent a replacement with the same issue. I had to manually remove the solder paste with a toothpick and half the time it just burned up and ruined the jump ring I was soldering. The solder paste also appeared to not be mixed well, there was discoloration throughout the tube. I don’t recommend this solder paste.

The fact that this comes in a syringe , it makes it very easy to pinpoint where you put the solder plus there is no waste.

Bought the easy solder.-Yes, it’s easy and it’s paste solder but it held up very poorly to mechanical stress even for that.HOWEVER…-It’s a great color match for sterling-it melts at very low temp and flows quite well, so I’d even be comfortable using it on earrings-it fills in nice large gaps-it blends, shapes, and polishes quite nicely. I have used this to fill in tiny gaps in pieces I soldered sloppily or made deep scratches in, and it’s filled those in beautifully.Would I use it on a ring or bracelet that will be beaten up and abused by daily wear? Absolutely not. I would, however, use it on small-gauge earrings, pendants, or perhaps even brooches that won’t be abused.Would I buy again? We may never know, because at the rate I’m using it, I may never need another syringe.. oh well.

At first this stuff worked like a charm when soldering zinc jewelry pieces together but at about half the tube it seems like there was more flux than solder which created problems and much frustration. Good thing I have some good ol silver wire solder laying around or I would have been screwed trying to get my orders out for my business. I think maybe whoever is making this needs to revamp the metal to flux ratio.I will say the syringe aspect was very handy when it worked, saved a lot of time before it started creating smoldering blackish goop that would not solidify.
