Wouldn’t recommend. Some of the edges on the handle and the top were sharp. I didn’t expect the quality to be great due to the price, but neither did I expect it to rust after one wash.

This pot actually works ! After trying multiple oil filters tools, this work the best . It’s a bit pricy if that could be 5 dollars range would be perfect .

I like that its sturdy and lightweight. I don't like that it is difficult to clean the bottom of the spout at the strainer. I need to use a 1/2" brush or straw cleaner.

The intake at the bottom of the bowl is to small if you have bits in the bottom of the gravy pan. The bits tend to restrict the flow so only a trickle comes out and you need to be careful not to tip the bowl over too much while pouring as the fat will flow over the top.

It is a good little container but isn't very good at separating grease. I suppose if you don't have much grease on top it will work. Still I use it for many things.

I make my own stock or broth for making soup. This is my 4th purchase in durable stainless steel. I’ve gone through 2 clear plastic and one heat proof glass good size. . Right and left hand pouring. Handle does get hot when you pour boiling stock into it.I trust this will be my last purchase of a fat separator. The see through ones are nice but they just don’t last.

If you look inside the pour spout at least in the one I received, the strainer holes have not been deburred (cleaned up after drilling holes in the metal). They are left as jagged metal around the drill holes, ready to fall off, and some did upon washing. Beware as you surely would never want any of this shrapnel in your food. I am a machinist so I removed (deburred) these shards, but please, especially those that already own one, look in the spout and beware of this. Hopefully I received one that "slipped by" quality control... I probably would have returned it but it looks like few other choices unless you like plastic.

My former fat separator was plastic and cracked when I poured hot liquid into it. That won't happen again with this stainless steel design. The pouring mechanism works great! You do need to know by sight, since you cannot see the fat separation through the steel, when you are getting to the fatty level so you can stop pouring, but that is not difficult.
