this mute has a very narrow slot so can only be used on.the A string.. so if the wolf is originating from a different string as mine was, it won't help.

Tried various wolf tone mutes and found this button style worked best. Adjustment locating on string a must for best sound. Although this Favomoto string mute will not fit on any string larger in diameter than a D string.
