I bought this as it was recommended for purchase with the thermostat and housing that I purchase off of Amazon. The stock thermostat and housing do no have a gasket like this and initially it will not seem to fit - but after putting it on anyway and tightening the bolts down, it provides a perfect seal. Seems like a high quality product and I'm happy with the result.

Used this on my Dodge Grand Caravan with 3.8 (same as 3.3) and it went on perfectly and has never leaked. Will buy a new one next time I replace the thermostat, which I do every 5 years along with a coolant change to prevent overheating and corrosion.

The thermostat that comes with the Jeep Wrangler 3.8 is supposed to seal the housing without an extra gasket. They don't install a gasket at the factory. However, after replacing the thermostat and housing and torquing it to spec it's still leaked. I installed this gasket and it immediately stopped the leak perfectly.

I bought this for a JK Wrangler with the 3.8. The thermostat housing is plastic and the rubber seal is on the thermostat itself and was deformed. I had tried replacing the thermostat to fix my leak issue with no luck. Just got another deformed gasket. I tried this after seeing a video somewhere and I was skeptical but I’ll be darned if it didn’t work perfectly. Use it in conjunction with the crappy rubber seal and it will seal up the crappy design from the factory. No more leak, thanks Fel-Pro!

I already knew this, why did I buy it again? Because it was a suggested bundle by Amazon and I'm a dirty consumer. Picture shows new housing, no blue gasket.The JK 3.8 does not use this typically.It interferes with the thermostat gasket and will make install of the housing/thermostat a pain.It will fit. It may solve a leak at the housing for you. It's likely better and safer than liquid gasket. You do not need it to complete a housing, or thermostat replacement job.
