I have no idea how good or bad this gasket set it, because I never opened it. In the product description, under Country of Origin, it clearly states 'USA'. Take a look at the package description. China-10 items, USA-3 items, Taiwan-2 items and Vietnam-2 items. Not a very accurate description. Not happy with FEL-PRO!

Bought this for my 2007 Chevrolet Impala LT with a 3.9 liter AFM (active fuel management) engine. The car had an oil leak that I have been tracking down for the two years since I owned it, and it seemed to be coming from the lower intake manifold gasket, or valley gasket on the drivers side of the engine. A little oil dye and black light confirmed my suspicions. The car was leaking when I bought it with 80,000 miles in 2019, and I continued to top off oil until I found the issue at 120,000 miles. Amazon didn't list this kit as fitting my car, but after reading the comments of others using it for the same engine, I decided to give it a shot. The kit went in well, and is clearly better built than the original AC Delco kit that was in the engine. There was several parts in the kit that I never found a spot for, however, I was able to replace every gasket that I took out, minus the heater hose O-ring (you will need this). After putting everything back together, the only think leaking was the heater hose. I was able to find this part at my local dealer GM Part# 24504709 for under $2. I was unable to get the rubber grommets for the valve cover bolts out of the cover to replace them, and the old ones were fine, so I didn't use them. There was one coolant crossover gasket that didn't go anywhere in my job. I found no use for the 12 little O-rings that were in the kit, they might have been for the bolt heads, but the old bolts didn't have them, so I didn't use them. There where three other gaskets, one for the air hose near the air cleaner box. The other two I found no use for. I found there to be more than enough RTV in the kit, if you only use it in the places GM suggests (on the ends of the valley gaskets where the heads meet the intake, and on the valve covers where the upper, lower, and valve covers meet). I'll update later on how the kit is holding up. This is not a job for the faint of heart, It was the most intrusive job I've ever done, and It was intimidating. I would suggest labeling every electrical connector, bolt, and hose as you go. I numbered mine so that i was able to do the job in reverse. Prepare yourself to disconnect or remove nearly everything around the top of the engine.
