So don’t do what I did the gasket is cheap broke so had to do the job twice Toyota Corolla from 98-2002 do not use gasket instead they use a special gasket maker from Toyota look up some videos and save your self money and double the work

Used this to help with a damaged oil pan and it made the leaking go away. Did not have to use any gasket make to fill in just torqued the pan down and made everything better.

Excellent fit, high quality Oil Pan Gasket for Toyota corolla or Chevrolet Prism. Precise cut, bolt holes matches perfect. You can install with or without RTV silicone. You will get only gasket, no RTV silicone.It was packed well, in nice box, flat and it was not bend. Highly recommended.

I changed the oil pan in a 1998 Toyota Corolla and while installing a new pan with this gasket i encountered a problem. The torque spec calls for 80 inch-pound per bolt and i slowly increased torque on all 16 bolts from 20, 40, then 70 in a criss-cross pattern. When i got to 70 inch-pound the cork gasket compressed so much that it tore around some bolts and squeezed out. I used RTV on both sides of the gasket so I was confident this repair would still work if i added additional RTV in certain areas. I have an oil leak now in one spot. If you purchase this gasket be aware that the manufacture torque spec is invalid. Use good judgement when tightening these bolts.

Oil pan started leaking a few months after it was replaced by the dealership who I'll never return to for any job. Learn how to repair your cars people before these dealerships take advantage of you and charge you for things you don't need changed. Anyhow, I cleaned the old pan with all the sealer mess they had put on it. Installed this gasket along with gasket sealer and so far so good. No leaks now so will wait and see how long it will last.

The engine block lip was cleaned thoroughly and this gasket still squeezed out from the oil pan as it was slowly and evenly tightened. Just use the RTV like the factory and do it right. That method worked perfectly.
