A perfectly fine gasket to replace the original when opening the valve covers. Just make dam sure u tighten the valve cover bolts real nice and tight. I thought i tightened mine good enough, but it didnt take long for that 5w20 oil to start seeping out and making dust stick. Probably should have used a torque wrench but the original bolts were reused and most certainly were already stretched. After a few heat cycles, that gasket settled into place just the littlest bit more, resulting in a wet look that atttacted dust. Had to snug up the valve cover bolts just a tiny bit more... Just something to be aware of if ur doing that job. But id buy the same part again if i needed it. No issues there. Wish it came with the grommets but felpro never consulted my opinion on that.

Installed on 2003 5.4 F250. Very nice high quality valve cover gaskets. I was impressed with how well the gaskets actually fit my valve covers. The gaskets lay right in place with no stretching or having to force to fit. You will also need to replace the bolt seals to reseal the valve covers fully part #ES 71189. To install these valve cover gaskets you have to remove all bolts from the valve cover, replace the seals on the bolts, lay gaskets on to the valve covers then install the bolts one at a time while pushing the valve cover gasket under each bolt, then push valve cover gasket into the grove of valve cover. Once the bolts are in place they will not fall out. The bolts and the valve cover gasket hold each other in place. If you install everything as designed the gasket will not even think about falling off while you work it into place. Remember to clean the valve cover mounting surface on the cylinder heads and put a dab of silicone at the junction of the front cover and cylinder head. I highly recommend

Installed these on a Ford 4.6. Although Felpro states no need to use any RTV, trust me follow the Ford recommended steps and add a thin bead of RTV. I almost had to do the job twice because the gasket can easily shift on you while installing. I applied RTV on the valve cover side then flipped them over added a bit of weight ontop and let them cure for about 20min before installation. No leaks!

My 2000 f150 5.4 n/a has 235k miles. Old valve cover gaskets were leaking and purchased this set to replace my old leaky ones. Unfortunately, like others have stated, the driver side gasket was not staying on causing it to fall off and not sit properly. I tried multiple times to work with it but eventually it ripped due to coming off the valve cover etc. The passenger side fit well with no problems but driver side was just terrible. I didn’t want to risk having major oil leaks down the line and since the driver side was no good, I’ve decided to purchase oem ford brand from the dealer. I paid around 67 bucks for oem ford valve cover gasket set and man what a difference in fitment and quality. I’ve always used gaskets from this company and this is the first time I had issues with fitment and quality. Go oem on valve cover gaskets fellow f150 owners.

These fel-pro gaskets worked great, they are sturdy. They matched the valve cover great, installed flush into the valve cover, they have been installed for a little over a month and still holding up great, no more oil leaks.

These worked great on 2000 Ford F150 5.4 v8. These need to be replaced when you replace the plastic intake manifold. Only a few more wires to unclip and covers can be slid out from underneath the main wire harness and slid back in but keep gasket in place with one hand as you slide them in and carefully inspect seal all around with small mirror on a handle before you tighten them town. Surprisingly not a big problem to install once the manifold is taken off for replacement.
