I read the reviews and the statement in one said they were legal for shrimp pots was accurate but they are too small a gage of wire! It was a true statement so will use this for another project!

This stuff is a little on the light side for shrimp pots but it will still work fine. Based on my reading of shrimp pots for the State of Washington, the mesh opening is legal -- it has an opening exceeding 7/8-inch square.
