As soon as you pull on the strap (even slithly) the sewing breaks. Not usefull at all.

I wasn't sure about how these were suppose to work, but it turns out they're great. Much simpler than tying a knot onto the boat. Easy to raise and lower. We bought a bunch for all the bumpers and they've held up quite well for the past couple years.

I just bought a new boat and the boat came with these straps on the fenders. Looked like a good idea, but one was broken so I bought a few new ones. It is a great idea; however, they don't seem to hold up very long. I left them on the boat to protect it from the dock, when I returned two weeks later (okay, I know, two weeks, what was I thinking?) the straps were twisted and one was broken. Later I tried them when tying up with other boats and they would continually pull loose. Worthless.

I bought two of these, both of which "unbuckled" when the boat fender hit the dock. I now have them strapped into place without using the quick release feature, but that defeats the purpose of having them. Avoid this product.
