Say what you will about the recent "Standard" line, Fender still makes good stuff. I have a Player Plus HSS with noiseless pickups, and when I bought a new strat from Firefly it was a great guitar (Fender, you should take notes from Firefly) and while the pickups it came with sounded nice, I really liked the Noiseless Pickups in my Player Plus and wanted a strat with Triple stacked humbuckers since I already had a std. 2020 Player with regular SSS Alinco single coils.This new set in the Firefly round out my strat sound collection. Easy to install, No issues with fitting them or how they work. While pricey? They are high quality and worth it if you're looking for some noiseless pickups that are about 85% of what regular single coils should be (but quiet)...Recommended.

This rating applies to the install only and will review pickups later., but as for the install, it’s been somewhat of a challenge. I know, they recommend a louthier but even so, for those think it’s simple simple stuff stuff, it’s not and requires some invasive modifying.The spring loaded screws needed to secure and adjust height of pickups r/t the pick guard are 1) smaller than the stock one’s being replaced and 2) not even included. WHY?! Had to ID the screw size and hunt those down. Don’t lose your springs. Kinda important 3) all 3 pickups require a deeper cavity than the existing cavity for stock pickups, therefore had to use a router which I’m still learning how to use and no expert. So, to deepen the cavity with the same pattern, I had to buy a straight 1/4” router bit with a ‘bottom bearing’ which is located at the top of the bit if you’re cutting down into the cavity. The bearing serves as a roller guide that rolls along the contours of existing opening and serves as a template guide preventing you from cutting beyond the existing perimeter while allowing you to cut deeper, which in this case, was another quarter inch to accommodate the deeper pick up .So, with some reservations I finally committed to the mod, but not happy about having to shave off the numbers and pressed-in Schecter logo imprinted inside the neck pickup cavity. So much for provenance. It doesn’t end there, get out the soldering iron and 3-d skill set to follow the schematic of convoluted wiring diagram from the backside of pickguar POV. I tried to avoid all this but the ocal louthier doesn’t do routering.

Una volta settati a dovere offrono un sound che non ti aspetteresti. Che uno li suoni clean, crunch o distorti garantiscono sempre un suono " a fuoco" con una pasta sonora più moderna se comparati ai classici single coil. Personlmente li apprezzo. NOTA: un dettaglio a cui si deve fare attenzione è lo spessore (l'altezza) che è un 10-20% in più rispetto ai classici single coil, perciò necessitano di tasche un po più profonde. Nelle chitarre Fender moderne il problema non si pone ma se per caso li si vuole installare (come nel mio caso) su chitarra di stampo vintage è stato necessario lavorare un minimo gli scassi.

I bought these mainly for the taller height (the pickups are easily 20% taller than standard) but totally amazed with the quality all the way around. Very nice pickups and the sound is ultra clear and vintage like.I will be looking at more of these ULTRA Noiseless Vintage for my other guitars.

The pickups sound amazing but two of the screws broke in half under normal pressure while screwing in the pickups. It as an absolute nightmare to get half of a screw out of a hole so I definitely recommend ordering different ones. Highly recommend the pickups themselves.

Fender ultra noiseless pickups are closest to real single sound of all the Fender noiseless pickups. Especially in the 2 and 4 positions! I have Dimarzio are Area pickups in another guitar and have owned guitars with other generations of Fender noiseless pickups. The Fender ultra pickups have the most quack and snap one would expect from a good set of strat pickups. Dimarzio area pickups are a little louder and have a bit more crystalline highs but position 2 and 4 don't sound as strat like as Fender ultras.

Installé sur une a Fender Stratocaster plus 1991 dont les pickups lace original commençaient à avoir de l usure . Je préfère de loin les ultra maintenant

These sound great. Nice and smooth. Not as much quack and burp as the SD California 50's set, but then again, these are super quiet. Not as nice as the EMG DG20 set, but still really nice, vintage sound.I replaced a set of stock Fender pickups in a Guitar Center showcase model with the push pull...sounds MUCH better. Much quieter.

I love these, and whilst they don’t have the ultimate top end bite of a set of custom shop 69 pickups in another Strat they run it damn close! I use the bridge pickup a lot more now not having to back off the tone to save my ears. I have read other reviews calling them bland and lifeless but not on my guitar, the neck position especially is really awesome with all the grit and sustain you could wish for when overdriven, and they remain totally silent. As mentioned elsewhere they are stacked so whist they will fit US, Mexican & CV Squiers best to check anything else.
