One end slides over 4 inch sch 40. other end goes over coupling, T connect, whatever that pipe coupling the pipe slides into. Great as insurance if you have doubts about the glue joint.

I've used these guys both on my tiny house and rental cabin that suffer a little bit from movement each year. Super easy to install, and easy to reposition if needed. I would not hesitate to recommend. These are great in that they fit over a hub, whereas this particular style is next to impossible to find at the big box stores.
