Havent gotten to the range yet, just dry firing with snapcaps. Seems like it will do the job for those heavier pieces I have to fire from chest height using the CAR stance instead of trying to hold a pistol at arms length using more traditional stances. (rotator cuff issues and old body losing strength= needing a red dot.)this should help with those pieces that have pictinny rails.

Bought this because seller did me a solid and sent a replacement on another item when I only needed the lens cover so I won't send it back. Not very bright and hard to see /aquire visually on a cloudy day in the shade outside. Only fired 50 or so rounds through the pistol I mounted it on. Hard to tell if it held zero because after a while it was too much bother to use. Did not fly apart as reported in some reviews. Might be ok for indoor home defense. Pretty inexpensive and easy enough to mount, I zeroed with a boresight laser in the house.

The laser is not centered. So the more you move (back or front) the more you get off center. It's awful.AND the >vertical adjustmentDo yourself a favor and get a laser with those two functions (at least) corrected... They should not be selling those at all.

great design - love the compact size & piggyback picatinny rail, but unfortunately some quality issues... 1. battery "compartment" lacks a plastic liner, batteries seem to fit very loosely, laser turned ON after I dropped in the 2nd of 3 batteries - good thing it wasn't pointed at my eye!! ...added 3rd battery & closed lid, laser would NOT come on!! unscrewed lid halfway & laser came on... messed with battery lid a while & finally got laser to work with battery cover closed tight.mounted sight. windage was close, but elevation way low. tried to adjust. adjustment screw did NOTHING. turned the other way - still nothing, except maybe got even lower, tried turning other way again, got nothing. elevation still way low & adjustment screws won't move it....still love the design - hopefully i just got a bad one.

For the price, a deal. You don't need $50 build quality to have a reliable laser and this here proves it. Tiny, easy to adjust, out of the box it's so simple you just look at it and understand how it works. Nothing wobbles, everything tightens down properly, the build quality doesn't leave much to be desired. It's not gonna hold a zero at 100 yards over hundreds of rounds, but let's be real, if you're buying a $20 laser sight off Amazon, you're thinking about a home defense scenario. I can't speak from experience, but I image $20 worth of having a red dot on the chest of someone breaking into your place is *invaluable*, and I don't think you can even physically adjust the laser to miss at that sort of range.

bought a number of these for home defense purposes, one was missing battery cover and another was missing the adjustment screws. Stuck with it and now have one for everyone I need to have one. Pair with a bore sight laser, also inexpensive, and you can adjust these to where they are sighted in for the most probable distance you would need to use them. At the distance you set put the dot on the target and, with a good trigger pull, you put a hole there. Just don't plan on using them in the sun.

Mounted one on my Glock and the other on my S&W and easily made my sighting adjustments. Tested this out with both guns and was very pleased with results that were all within 1-1 1/2 inches at 50 ft. Comes with everything you need to install, adjust and operate it. For our limited use these were perfect and the price is a steal. They are actually well made considering the price and if I lose or break one it's not a big loss. Keep in mind adding this to your pistol will mean getting a different holster or modifying the one you have as most holsters are tapered where the barrel sits.
