This is some very nice glass, smooth, no runs, no issues with loose weave....however... I have tried 3 different resins and two epoxies. Saturation (wetting out) is extremely difficult. To be fair here I am not an amateur, I have the proper tools, use specific mixes etc. It just does not absorb resin well or quickly, which really causes some issues if you are doing a large mold by hand. I have not tried vacuum with this cloth but from experience with other cloths that act the same way I would assume the results would not be much different than those and would provide satisfactory results in small batches. Expect to use more resin than normal with this cloth. Otherwise the finish product has been great, strong and light and sands very well. Whatever you do though be sure to limit any conditions that could introduce bubbles under this cloth, they are practically impossible to get rid of even with the right tools, again probably would not be a large problem under vacuum.

The product worked, but it was very difficult to wet out with the epoxy compared to other fiberglass cloth I have used. . This was true even with West System special coatings epoxy. There were also a few snags in the cloth as though it had been dragged over a sharp protrusion before being folded up. Perhaps it works better w/ polyester resin. I bought it due to it's price. I probably would go with another supplier in the future for epoxy work.

I've ordered 5 of this product over the past 9 months or so. The quality is consistent, but unfortunately that quality means the occasional run or weave issue. It is indeed difficult to wet out compared to higher quality cloth, but with some practice and adapting your technique to this cloth in particular, you can still get great results. I've found that using a combination of foam brushes and my fingers gives me top notch results. First I wet the surface, then lay the cloth and wet it with the foam brush - the foam comes in handy as you can "push" the epoxy into the weave. Now that the weave is fairly well secured to the surface, I follow up with dipping my finger in the epoxy or pouring it on the surface and rub it into the weave in a circular pattern.Even factoring in the wet-out difficulty and runs from the folded shipping, I still give this product 5 stars as it blows away anything else I've found as far as bang for your buck goes. If you're not using it for something that, if it fails, can cause severe injury then this is your cloth.

Purchased 6/26 arrived 7/2 and that was shipping from Florida to Montanta! Quality product identical to the product picture. Weave is perfect no loose fibers. I am using it on a boat restoration and it wets out easily with polyester resin.

This is a great product. Fiberglass cloth has tight weave and thicker than other fiberglass cloth I have used. I found slow hardener works well giving epoxy more of a chance to soak in to the fabric.
