The Fiberreed Reed Alto Saxophone Carbon Onyx had good ratings (1.5). But the shipping package does not protect the reed. Just in a thin carton it did not survive the shipping process. From Germany to Amsterdam and NYC. Delivered by USPS. Somewhere on the way it split and when I removed it from the carton the tip broke simply off by gravity. I loved the idea to have a reed which last longer than the bamboo based once, but it seams they are better protected than the Fiberreed one. I ordered a new one canceling the order shortly after and I am going back to the old fashion ones with all the downsides they come with. It makes no sense to have the same experience twice. If they change the protection I will give the Fiebereed another shoot. I will not rate sound and value for money than I didn't had that.

Una caña de este fabricante, de grado medio M, Es más "usable" que una 2 de Legere ya que esta última es mucho más dura. La boquilla mejor que no sea de grado medio. Una 7 me va muy bien.

The sounds on some notes are definitely more flat may take a while to break in might sound better.

サクスフォンを始めて4ヶ月です。まだまだリードを評価する実力はありませんが、樹脂と自然素材のハイブリッドということで購入してみました。低音はとても出しやすいですが、高音が割れます。教室の先生はリード（MS=2.25相当）とマウスピース（セルマーC90 180）との相性が悪いのでは？と言ってましたが、やはり私の実力によるものだと思います。高音が割れないようにコントロール出来れば、音もまろやかだしとても良いリードだと思います。

I purchased the Hemp reed. First let me say I have always hated cane reeds because they are so finicky . You buy a box of cane reeds and hope you can find a good one if you do find a good one, you hold on to it until it literally comes apart. I can't say how long these reeds will last since I just got it. But right out of the box I was happy. The reed was alive and ready to play (but maybe a little too alive), I will get a Medium Hard next time and will now start the journey to find the right mouthpiece and reed strength and ligature combination for this reed. Searching for the consistency and tonality I'm looking for. I am anxious to try the other variations and materials used by this manufacturer but for me it's expensive . Maybe they should sell a reduced price sampler pack

Very bright sounding right out of the box. Incredibly easy to get out notes. Very responsive, long tones can be more difficult to sustain pitch.

This reed is absolutely terrible. I've been playing saxophone for 5 years and this is by far the worst synthetic reed I've ran into on my reed journey. I do not reccomend this product. You are a million times better off purchasing one of those amazing legere signature series reeds.

初心者には 持って来いです 僕もサックス1年目です｡最初はアレクサンダーのリード削ったりしてやってましたがハリーハートマンズ 知ってからは即乗り換えました｡セルマーには ONYX Ｍ ディコフには ＭＳ こんな感じで使ってます｡

Alto saxはCanonnBoll_Vintage,マウスピースはWoodStoneメタルGroove AMⅡ、リードはWoodStone２.５を使っています。今迄にも何枚か樹脂リードを購入してみましたが、いつもケーンと較べると使い難く感じて、使わずにいました。今回たまたまハリーハートマンの樹脂リードを目にして、ダメもとでカーボンファイバーとカーボンオニキスのMSを購入しました。まずカーボンファイバーを試奏しましたが、これは使用感は悪くないですがエッジが効きすぎて、飛びすぎている感じです。次にオニキスを試奏すると、断然jこちらが良い感じです。特に高音の当たりが良いです。いつも高音のピッチが安定せず、時々ピーと音が裏返っていましたが、これは大丈夫です。フラジオはD位迄でそれ以上は私にはキツイです。低音もケーンよりかは楽に出せる感じです。ファイバーより安価ですが、コスパは断然オニキスが上でした。まだ使い始めて１週間ですが、暫くこれに落ち着きそうです。

Some people seem to find it difficult to use this reed but in my opinion, I can play very well on both high and low range notes on this reed. The medium soft resistance reed allows for easy blowing without compromising the higher notes. The sound of the saxophone with this reed seems to be evened out too. Some other reeds thin out either on the higher or lower notes but this reed keeps it at a good balance. Another thing I like about this reed is it's durability. I've been using a medium soft and medium reed for more than a year now and it seems it's only now that they're starting to loose their resistance.
