It was prefect for what we ordered it for. We built a wiffleball field in our backyard last summer and the items in the bag worked great. We were able to take them out for the winter and we will reuse them next summer. Great value.

Got this to place down some bases for practice. I like that they are soft and not those other flat ones. They are easy to see when running round. The idea of the velcro at the bottom which is really good velcro. So to the mallet that is provided with this kit. Great Idea. Not that great of a mallet. I hit my first spike, and on my upstroke to hit that spike again, the mallet head flings off. Other then that I think this kit did the job. Sucks that the mallet didnt hold up. I might try to glue it or just bring another hammer that I have.

I purchased these for a combo birthday party we were throwing for 2 nephews and my son. The plan was we would set these up, and along with a wiffle ball pitching machine, would play some games. as is often the case when getting a big group of kids together they found other ways to utilize the equipment that was purchased deciding on Home-Run derby instead of a full fledged game. That being said several of them would round the bases after hitting a home run and the bases did pretty well. I would have to say that the yard where we set this up had pretty thick grass and the bases had issues staying Velcro to the stakes (you place a stake through a 4x4 card that has Velcro on one side, hammer it in the ground, and then Velcro the base to the ground). I do think that if you had a dirt surface to play on the Velcro system that this utilizes would have a good chance of making the bases stay put. The bases themselves were not bad and had almost a real feel to them. I would not recommend metal spiked cleats as I think this would tear up the material the bases are made of. Over all we were pleased and the kids seemed to enjoy them.

This set is excellent for some backyard baseball. It's easy to set up in just minutes. The bases are attached by velcro which allows for breakaway capability - a great feature for kids learning how to slide properly. Easy to pack up and carry in minutes as well!

This is a nice set of bases for any kid to play ball in their yard. It is well made and has withstood baseball and kickball games.We do not leave it outside. We make them clean it all up and bring it in Everytime they use it. we don't bother with using the posts. They just lay out the bases and play like that.

I read some mixed reviews on this product, but decided to go ahead and purchase it anyway. GREAT DECISION!First of all, it should be noted that these are not sufficient for competitive baseball. In all honestly, that should be obvious. Anybody who sees puffy canvas bases and assumes that they will endure a stampeding of cleats is not thinking reasonably. No, these are intended for more casual play.That being said, they are terrific if used properly! The stake/Velcro system used to secure the bases into the ground works surprisingly well. The bases and plates really plant into the turf. The only issue is that the bases can slightly rotate after forceful contact. Certainly no big deal, as a quick nudge or push can easily remedy this problem. Personally, I appreciate that this set comes with a pitcher's plate. It really gives you the complete package. I also love how everything stows away neatly into the provided black zippered bag. It makes for easy transportation and organization.Having paid only 24 dollars for this set, I expected to encounter some issues in quality. My expectations have been exceeded in every way! The construction of the bases looks to be rather inexpensive, but it doesn't hinder the product at all. Taking the price into consideration, this is a win. To top it off, the zippered black bag is actually pretty impressive in quality, as are the other accessory items (the drawstring bag, mallet and string). My only real complaint would be the size of the bases. They're considerably smaller than regulation, and home plate only measures 14" wide. The pitcher's plate is also tiny. But, after some initial dissatisfaction, this proved to be no issue. Also, I should mention that I have not needed the mallet or string. The mallet seems unnecessary to me because I can easily press the stakes into the ground by hand. And I actually own a measuring wheel, so I don't need the string. Seems like It would be helpful, though!All in all, I am really pleased with this product! It's much better than using cheap rubber bases. Not only do these actually secure into the ground, but they feel satisfying to step on, especially while barefoot (my favorite way to use these bases in the back yard)! Also, I appreciate the complete set (home plate, a pitcher's plate & 3 bases) and the carrying bag. Honestly, I would be satisfied having paid 40 dollars for this product. So I'm elated at 24!

i have gotten some nice stuff from amazon....and some killer deals. this is nt a killer deal. but it gets my highest rating due to the fact that this item causes an immediate heart flutter to virtually any kid who opens it. this kit is TOTAL non- sense. it is NOT high quality...(.nor will it be long lasting im sure) that not withstanding....boy oh boy!... my little one showed his leadership side of his personalty in about 10 seconds after he unzipped the bag. the little ones get an eyeful of the crap thats in here....and instantly .... they re off to the races. what you see....is INDEED what you get. and the dude that designed this kit was either LUCKY or genius...or had help in the design of thios from the same folks who decorate the dunkin donuts , starbucks joints they know what colors and what shapes and other stuff that seperates you from your $. when you open this bag...there are about 5-7 things that you recognize. the string is 5 cents worth of string.... yet they immediatly know EXACTLY what to do with it. the same goes for the spikes. the way these bases mount to the ground is remarkably simple and clever. .....to close ...i will end it with this helpful thought. if you just got your viagra and the time is right...and you confidently want the little ones to be occupied for a few......consider this a great marital aid. p.s. for all you baseball experts out there that need $600 compitition bases...that are wondering if $26 shipped is gonna get the job done for ya.....IT WONT
