EASY INSTALLATION
It takes about 5 minutes to install. MOUNTS TO THE 1/2" FRAME AROUND YOUR METAL FILE CABINET. Reversible for left or right side mounting (screws included).
COBALT DRILL BIT INCLUDED
No need to hunt for the right size drill bit to use, we supply it! This is the best type of bit for drilling through hard metals.
SIMPLE TO USE
When unlocked, the bar is held in the open position by a spring-loaded hinge so it won't interfere with opening or closing your file drawers. At the end of the day simply close the bar, lower the handle, and insert the padlock to lock (padlock not included).
Guardianite 2 Drawer File Locking Bar - Gray or Beige
This locking bar is an excellent way to secure your files in accordance with HIPAA, Sarbanes-Oxley, and PCI. It doesn't matter if you are a big company, a small company, or just need to secure your files at home from prying eyes, this bar will do the job.
The Guardianite 2 Drawer Locking Bar is 22.5" long. Measure the height of your filing cabinet to confirm the size needed. The bar needs to be slightly shorter than your filing cabinet and must cover a portion of the top and bottom drawer to work.
This item requires the use of a padlock. A padlock is not included, but we recommend the use of any padlock that has a shackle diameter of 1/4 inch or 5/16 inch.
Kit includes: One (1) Guardianite 22.5" File Locking Bar (Gray or Beige color) and One (1) Cobalt Drill Bit.

Installation was a snap, maybe 10 minutes. The instructions were quite clear. This is a very sturdy addition to my filing cabinet that didn’t have a lock. I only needed one locking drawer, but I chose the two drawer model to prevent someone from simply removing the drawer above and taking everything out of the locked drawer that way.

When we first opened the box we didn’t think it came with screws. Found them kind of tucked into the bar.Easy to put together

It was very simple and easy to install The Guardian File Locking Bar. The instructions simple to understand and easy to follow. I ran into one snag. My drill didn't have a clamping piece to hold the "included" drill piercing tool, so I had to mark the area to be pierced by lining up the bar.Once I lined up The Guardian I put in the holes by tapping the drill bit with a small hammer. It worked. I now have two re-enforced filing cabinets that will give people second thoughts about tampering with other peoples property. Thank you for giving this Diva more protection.

This lock bar is alot sturdier than I had expected. Very easy to install. Just be careful when unpacking. I thought the drill bit was missing untill I cleared up all the packaging and found it on the floor.
