The switch itself works fine, housing is nothing great, just works. The issue I have is the switch is pretty deep, plus the 1/8th spade terminals nearly hit the opposite side of the housing, which leaves practically no room for connectors. I decided to solder my wires on, since I couldn't quickly find any 1/8 right angle spade connectors.

The switch works fine, the internal clearances for the wires are tight but OK, and price is very good. Very hard to find this type of On-Off-On inline cord switch--I needed it for a two-speed fan. The grommets at each end are also a nice touch.My challenges:1. I had trouble soldering the wires to the contact blades. First used a typical pen-like soldering tool. When a blade got hot enough to melt the solder it also melted the plastic the blade inserts into, which made the switch stop working. So I bought a soldering gun to get faster heat and tried to be more careful with the second switch; less melt but still some and so still same problem--non-working switch. Perhaps a heatsink would have worked. Maybe it was technique, but I have some experience. It might be possible to use right-angle connectors to attach to the blades, but clearances would likely be tight. If the manufacturer sees this, perhaps use a plastic for the blade/switch body with a higher melting point.2. The toggle itself is covered with a soft plastic as shown in the picture. I didn't need or want this, so I cut it out on the second switch. Doing so seemed to work OK. On the first switch, I pulled out the soft plastic cover. This may have made the switch body a bit loose.If would be fun to try again with a heatsink, but I've purchased a somewhat larger switch with open contacts and a small box to mount it in. Not as elegant, but should work.Re features:* Easy to use: I gave it two stars; although I failed, better technique or use of a heatsink might work.* Thickness: excellent for my purpose.* Easy to use: except for not wanting the soft plastic toggle cover, the switch itself moved fine. (My melting problem only ruined one "On" position of the switch, and we're using it currently as just an Off-On switch to get one speed of the fan.)

These are awesome switches. They are even better than what I had hoped. We bought these to replace the switch on a cord on a light for our Salt Water Tank. The previous switch stopped working. There is a plastic cover over the switch that will protect it from the salt. I think these will last a long time. Very, very, happy.
