My wife found this on some random website and bought it for me for a Christmas gift. For roughly 15 bucks we didn't expect stellar army-level performance, and in fact we didn't really expect it to be particularly fantastic, but we did expect it to at least work well enough to see 25 feet in the dark as advertised and thought it would be a fun novelty. The lack of child-enticing packaging made the product look like it's a serious tool for adults, but it turns out this is nothing more than a poorly made toy. In fact, it's a cheap knockoff of anther cheap product you can also find on Amazon: . It even includes instructions which look like they were photocopied from the other product. The facts:+ The binocular lenses work in that they make far away objects look closer. The magnification is actually decent (packaging claims 4x magnification).- You cannot adjust the zoom. There is an adjustment knob, but it doesn't do anything (except push off of your forehead; maybe that's the intended adjustment, to space the lenses away from your eyes?)- "Super bright LED" is super dull. With brand new batteries (not included) the light isn't even bright enough for a few feet in the attic, let alone 25 feet outdoors.- "Stealth Mode" night vision is nothing more than the the same dull light shining through a *slightly* shaded lens to further reduce its luminescence. There is no actual "night vision" technology involved. A red LED would be far more stealthy than a dull white light, but then who needs a flashlight attached to a binocular telescope? The only logic behind this that I can think of is if you're spying on your next-door neighbor from the bushes at night and need to make notes in your stalker log.- Batteries don't fit in the compartment very well. The springs make for a tighter fit than necessary, and despite that the batteries didn't contact all of the terminals the first time I inserted them. This product is a lie, with language barely clever enough to not be legally liable. As I already have a decent pair of mini-binoculars, I'll probably let the kids play with this and hope it lasts long enough for them to get some enjoyment out of it.
