Wow, just got this set of four today, and I typically wait a few weeks before providing a review, or any at all.....I have to say FABULOUS! These spoons are beautiful, not cheap looking by any means. I love the durability, nice rich gold color, and appropriate length to stir a nice cup of tea or coffee. I do hope that they will last over time without the color fading or chipping, so I plan to hand wash only, no dishwasher for these spoons. I think I may order another set too.

I received a beautiful tea set with a gold trim for Christmas and was looking for some tea spoons to match the design. These are lovely! Just the right size for a standard English tea set, and surprisingly solid. For the price, I expected them to be a little plastic-y, even fake feeling, but they're super legit as far as spoons go. News pending as to how well they keep, but for now I'm extremely pleased.

Yes, we all know that you can get really fancy sterling demitasse spoons to go with your fancy tea sets; they also require a second mortgage if you want a set of them. Of all the different demi spoon offerings on Amazon that I've purchased, this set was one of three that feel as nice as it looks and has a finish that hasn't rubbed off in a few uses (gentle hand wash and dry). There's something disconcerting when you use a demi spoon to stir honey in your tea and the spoon has lost its finish when you take it out of the cup--these spoons did NOT have that issue, but I did encounter that issue with another assortment (made by amother company) that had a shell design. For the price point, it's a solid value and looks very pretty with gold trimmed china. I'd buy these again.

Nice little spoons. Got them a few days ago. I hope they don't tarnish or corrode like another buyer showed in their photos.I've attached a photo to this review. The spoon may be a deeper yellow in the photo than in-person. Its color tone is light and bright, more carnation yellow than sunflower yellow.The spoon tastes super smooth and round, like nothing but an exceptional nothing; it's as though my taste buds fell asleep but my tongue is still able to detect temperature and shape. Odd, but pleasant.

These cute Gold-plated Rose Demi Spoons HIC are perfect size for my Royal Albert teacups and my Noritake teacups. They are definitely not the best quality gold-plated spoon I've seen but for the price, they are good enough. Since they are made in Japan, I am hoping the gold-plated surface does not fade too soon. I also want to thank Amazon for their impeccable customer service of reordering it for me and crediting me for the package that I was supposed to receive but never received. I feel more at ease ordering items that are "fulfilled by Amazon" now.

I purchased these because I wanted cute gold spoons to match my gold-rimmed floral teacups. I put aesthetic higher than functionality on the priority list, and hence I expected these lose their color right away and probably start bending and tarnishing within a matter of weeks. However, when they arrived, they were MUCH sturdier and better quality than I imagined!I've been using them probably a couple of times a week for a couple of months now for whenever I have tea, and they have shown no discoloration or bending. I've been hand washing them as to not damage them, but I honestly don't think I would be able to even bend the spoon without quite some effort. These tiny spoons are PERFECT for my tea needs!Only thing to note is that they were much smaller than I expected - which was a good thing because I wanted small spoons. Be sure to actual check the dimensions and make sure they're aligned with your expectation!

Having read that ice cream tasters use gold spoons because they don't affect the flavor, I knew I had to have a set. I also really enjoy eating my ice cream with a tiny spoon. For years I fought with my children for their old baby spoons when the ice cream came out. So finding these at such a great price meant I was getting the best of both worlds.Honestly though, they're spoons. They have a beautiful gold finish. They work well for transporting the ice cream from dish to mouth. I'm sure someone else could manage to say more, but a spoon that does the job and is what I was after means it gets 4 stars. You add a fifth when the price is so great.

What's the point of using fine bone china, rimmed with gold, set on a beautiful fine table only to gently stir your sugar cube into your tea with a regular everyday spoon? Make your daily cup of tea feel special to remind yourself that you (and your time) are special. Use a nice fine bone china tea cup, a golden spoon with a gorgeous rose on it, and always lift your pinky (as long as you aren't in company that knows better - it's not the sophisticated thing to do, after all) because you deserve to be a princess for a few minutes every day.Also, since a lot of fine china has gold accents, these spoons (and corresponding forks and sugar tongs) will match nicely.Edit/Update: Years later these spoons have held up extremely well and I still love using them! They did not change the taste of my tea at all or have any undesirable qualities. Fantastic purchase that I would recommend to anyone!
