I’d been meaning to get a couple of these types of ladders to keep on the second story of my home incase of emergency. The nylon straps on the ladder seem well stitched and sturdy. It’s very compact and easy to store discretely. It unfurls well and seems to be designed in a way that keeps safety in mind in the event it would need to be used. I did test it briefly by hanging it up in my tall garage against the wall and climbed up and back down. It’s certainly not the type of ladder one would rely on for frequent use, but in an emergency it would be an invaluable way to exit from a higher window.

This ladder will go upstairs in great-granny’s house, and we hope we never have to use it.The carabiner-type clips are big enough to handle even during a fight-or-flight situation. They operate smoothly. The ladder’s straps appear to be sturdy enough to support two adults as they exit through our average-size windows. The stitching appears strong. In its compact state, the ladder fits easily in the carry-case. I did not unwrap it completely because I want it to stay compact until we install it. The bag is big enough that we should be able to get the ladder back in the bag easily even after we deploy it. Are we going to use it once as part of a home fire drill? We will have to discuss this.Rating: goodMy scale: 5 star = excellent (or has a special feature), 4 star = good/ very good (does what it should), 3 star = average (or has a minor flaw), 2 star = below average (multiple flaws or does not perform its function well), 1 star = avoid (does not fulfill its mission). I rarely use the term ‘perfect’ and I rarely assign 5 stars.
