My review might be a bit mixed due to the product working but not as well as they are marketed. What lies the problem? Well, if I am still having to use lighter fluid to get the grill start, then what’s the point of these?How? Unfortunately, if you pile a couple charcoal over this, then they don’t work quite that well. Sure, at the top of your grill they work great where they can catch some air to burn. Typically, I will use quite abit less lighter fluid with these. Which is probably the only good thing about these. Once, I can the initial fire going, then these will help get the charcoal hot.

They had good reviews so I thought we would give them a try. Not a good idea. . It was hard to get them lit and once you got it lit, it was hard to get it to stay lit. Just wasn't what I expected.

I ordered this to use with our Masterbuilt Gravity 800. Well, they do work but they are certainly undersized. Each cube is about 1/2 X 1/2 inch. Way too small for starting my grill. I did find a way to use them. I bought the rectangular fire starter blockblocks and put a couple of these on top of them. Extra flame and I feel like I didn't waste money on the initial purchase. Again, these are SMALL cubes.

Use these to start fire in woodstove; ragged edge make instant lighting; light tug and you can split the cube into two equal layers, same size only thinner that makes placing two starting easy and $ cheap; best of the four types I've tried; NOT as dense but that HELPS since they burn easier

I take 3 of the cubes to get a good fire going. I cut up cardboard boxes (daily Amazon deliveries) into 2"x4" rectangles an bent them into a tent shape and put several on top of the cubes which gave me a roaring fire.

Huge flame from one small little square. The only times it doesn’t start the fire is when you don’t have the wood stacked right for it to hit enough pieces or if you cover it up too much
