These starters do not have a wick but they can easily be lit anywhere along the edge of the paper cup. I use these to start fires in my woodburning fireplace all throughout the fall and winter. I used to purchase a similar product from Yankee Candle but they no longer sell them so I was very happy to find this product.

Easy to light starter and burned hot enough, long enough to ignite firewood. Easier to start than lighter knot.
