This works good in a pinch. I woukldn't try to go survive on an island for a year with this as my only fire starter but for what it is it is great!It seems a little pricy but again it is very compact and actually does work fairly well. You certainly want to practice with one before you get into an actual survival situation but this could actually save your life if this is your last resort for making a fire.Doen't take up really any extra space and it is so light that you don't have a good reason not to carry this!

Got these for Christmas. Just tried one, now that we’ve got some warm weather and it snapped on the first strike, even while holding my finger behind it, per the instructions.May have been a bad rod, but I’m not sure I’d bet my life on them.

These things make a SAK a complete outdoorsman tool. Emergency fire starting capability right on your knife without adding to its footprint. Plus, they look cool as well.

Works well and is just the right size for a Swiss Army Knife corkscrew. I suggest you find a way to cover the tip as it will probably get worn from friction. I covered the tip with heat shrink and it looks great as well as works great. But the price is just a bit much.

Great for tinder and fires tarter. I like also the screwdriver. I also got their fire starter so it works great. Why didn’t I come up with it.
