- This portfolio is nice. Not fireproof - but nice to know it can withstand a good bit of heat - we have not actually tested it but it comes with a small piece of material if you do want to try to set fire to it. The fire resistant material has a weird sticky/tacky feel to it though which I don’t love - but not a deal breaker- there is a mesh pocket inside and some loops (3) to hook pens to.- there are 30 inserts (can hold 60 pieces) -14 x 11 - EXCEPT the edge of our first page got chopped off somehow, so this first page will only hold smaller pieces (see photo). And 30 pages is all you get - cannot add leaflets.- zipper is smooth- good for the current price of approx $24

I am most impressed with this art portfolio. First off, it arrived super quick and was securely packaged for shipping, so it arrived in pristine condition. Next, it is the perfect size for my needs. I was surprised to see it said fireproof, and although I’m not 100% sure about this claim, It certainly appears it Can be. I just haven’t put it to any tests to find out. The only thing negative I can say, is there was no paper work/instructions, but they really aren’t necessary. I did not subtract any ratings from this portfolio for this, because it doesn’t impede the portfolio’s function or prevent its use in any way. It did come with either a patch or sample piece of the outer covering. I first thought it was to itch it back up if it becomes damaged over time. I now think it’s to put their material to a fire test. This is where some instructions would’ve come in useful. The quality of this portfolio is incredibly nice. The individual page protectors are of good quality and seem durable as well. There is a pocket on the inside front cover as well as a couple of pen/pencil holders. It feels neat and durable in your hands. It isn’t too big or bulky to hold either. It has a distinctive feel to it (probably because of the fireproof coating), but this material also makes it easy to grip and not too easy to slip out of your hands. The price point of this portfolio is extremely fair. I searched for art portfolios for a while, and I realized right away it was at a good price. Once I held it in my hands and was able to flip through it, this thought was reinforced. It lives up to everything I was searching for: it provides great protection for pages of art, it functions the way it is advertised, it’s the perfect size for me, and it’s a great value for your money. This makes me very happy and I’m certain I will purchase at least one more of these. I highly recommend this art portfolio.

I got this to store copies of important documents I'd need in case of fire or an evacuation emergency. However, it's much better looking than I expected, and it's too large for my go bag. So, instead of documents, I'll use it as a photo portfolio.I'm a professional photographer but haven't used a binder-type folio in decades. I've been using archival boxes or expanding folders with individually sleeved prints. That works great when you have plenty of table space to lay out your work but isn't so great for less formal or impromptu situations. I'm going to several events over the next few weeks where a box portfolio of large prints would be a hassle. The 11x14 size fits in my luggage but lets me show decent-sized prints in a small space. A big plus is the inside pocket, which is big enough for exhibit postcards.I haven't tested the flame-retardant capabilities. However, I used a sharp nail file to scratch the sample material piece. I could barely see the scratches after digging in hard. And I was able to smooth out the scratches that showed by smoothing them out with my thumb. It has a strong chemical smell when you unwrap it, but it dissipates quickly.

This is not, obviously, made to keep documents safe in a full house fire unless you were very lucky. It can withstand a great deal of heat for a short while though, and it is actually waterproof. This has clear pages in it that are two sided, so you can store up to 60 documents of a normal letter size flat and unfolded. I tried hosing it down with the inside lined with paper towels, and the paper towels came out dry, so waterproof, check. I did not try the fireproof part, but the video in the listing pretty much shows the level of fire protection it offers, which is actually quite decent for something like this, and I believe it would survive a small fire like a piece of electronics flaming on near it quite well. The inside is nicely finished and laid out, there are slots for pen and business cards as well. I use this for holding some artwork that needs to be protected until it is needed again, and it is easy to get in and out of the folio. This looks good, works good, is waterproof, and reasonably flame proof, and the price seems quite reasonable for something that can hold your artwork or other documents in their full unfolded size. I can recommend this product as a good value.
