I really like this storage box overall. It's nice that you can flatten it up and store it easily, but the boxes are kind of flimsy for the photo storage and the 'box' itself is in no way fireproof. I have purposely purchased a few fireproof boxes for important documents and hard drives and such and not a single one of those are made of fabric. They are THICK METAL and costly for a reason. This has so many red flags all over it, it should've been colored red. It's a decent product, but claiming that it's fireproof opens people up for a world of regret when they're hoping to save their most precious items from disaster. I recommend this as storage, I DO NOT recommend it as storage for safekeeping from disaster!!

This is kinda janky. The boxes that you need to put together are difficult. This box can't possibly be fire resistant. I'm not going to test it but I appreciate that another reviewer did. I'll still use this but I don't expect it to be particularly protective from much other than bugs, dust and grubby little hands. I love how compact it is and I love to have a box for all of my photos. It's a nice touch to add the gloves and the areas of the boxes that you can write on.

This is a genius idea! With all the homes that have burned down lately, you really get to thinking about the things (like pictures) that you can never replace and need to be protected. I don't know if this case would completely survive a house fire, but it's definitely a lot better than a 'picture' box or album. It's a great medium/large size. I can't believe how many pictures it holds! Great organizing features. I also like that it easily collapses for storage. The hardest part is finding and organizing all your pictures so you can use everything this set contains. I also appreciate that it comes with a lock (cheap but again, it's better than nothing). For what it is, I wouldn't call it heavy duty, but it does work really well for what it is. I recommend.

When I first opened the box, I was a little confused that the case itself was folded in on itself. There was one large flat piece which I quickly figured out that it was to be inserted into the bottom of the unfolded case thereby allowing it to retain its shape. In fact, a quick referral back to the product's web page on Amazon shows the method of assembling the case. No big problem there.But the real problem started with the alleged acid-proof cardboard boxes that had to be folded together into the 5" x 7" shape. I tried doing this several times without peaking at the web page for the pictorial instructions but I was dumbfounded. So, back to the web page. Aha, I was expecting the box to interlock into its final shape but it turns out nothing holds it together except for friction exerted by the top flap being held in place by the plastic slides in the elastic loops. Well, ok, I guess that works just for holding photos after all they are not shipping containers.I've read the other reviews and it seems most people are using the product to store other items or documents which is fine for them. I kind of doubt that the minimal handle would remain attached if the case were maxed out with 1800 photos or a few hundred pages of documents. That would be just too much weight for the stitching to handle.The included pair of white gloves is a nice touch but I wonder how many people will actually use them.I am very doubtful that this case is "fireproof" as it is advertised otherwise I'd expect to see some sort of certification label such as UL listed, etc. Claims that it is fireproof up to 2000 degrees F are doubtful. I would expect the silicone coated fiberglass skin to be somewhat "fire resistant" but not fireproof especially considering that the core inside the fiberglass is just a sheet of cardboard which would burn up quite quickly leaving just a charred, half-melted ball of fiberglass.And finally, there are included 5 white envelopes which appear to have no real purpose other than perhaps hold some decades old negatives. How many people have even held onto these old negatives?The included stickers for marking the photo boxes end at the year 2023 so that should give you an idea of just how old this product really is. Given its current retail price, I cannot recommend this product.

I love these photo boxes! They are sturdy and come with boxes to file your photos, allowing you to store a lot! Not sure how long it would actually protect photos in a fire but I’m sure if you stores them in a safe the box would provide extra protection.

I need some way to organize and store my many boxes of snapshots and photos. This box is perfect for doing just that and, with careful positioning, it will hold a "ton" of photos. The bonus is the ability to withstand a fire. I haven't had a chance to use that, and hope I surely never do, but I'd hate to lose all my memories and this provides at least a little comfort.
