This cable is routed from the mount to the radio and the female mini-UHF connector will pass through a hole that is only 7/16" (11mm)in diameter. After reaching the radio, completion is as simple as screwing on the supplied mini-UHF/PL-259 adapter and then screwing the PL to the radios antenna connection. No coax to process ... no soldering joints to complete and no tools needed. Inside the FireRing Coax Termination. For those of you who know Firestik, you know the we would never compromise the quality of the coaxial cable for the conveniences found within this unique assembly. While we are best known for our hi-performance antennas, the antennas can not be expected to perform to their maximum potential if the coaxial cable is unable to deliver what the radio has to offer. I used this with a modified ditch light mount on my 2018 Tacoma's hood. The tolerances were pretty tight. Sourcing the correct Firestik K-4R mounting bolt was a hassle, but once acquired the whole system works perfectly. I'm quite pleased with the 1.01 SWR on channel 20 on CB with a Firestik top-loaded antenna. One star removed due to the lack of clarity regarding which mounting post/bolt combinations to use.

It was installed per the instructions. There is a ground short, maybe where it mounts to the antenna. If I'd keept the packaging, I'd send it back. I may do so anyhow.

I used this cable for an antenna install where the mount was close to the hood of the truck. the standard coaxial cable supplies with the antenna would have extended to far past the mount to work. The ring on this cable connects to the Firestick antenna. you will need to purchase the bolt to connect it separately. it takes a 3/8 inch diameter, 1 1/4 to 1 1/2 long M24 thread bolt (at least for the Firestick antenna)

It was great. It matched and fit right where I need it to. I have it on right next to my hood. the end is small and narrow for a low profile. Plus with the other end can screw off to fit throw the fire wall with easy. Then screw the end back together and a tach to the CB.

Love this design of this coax. I mounted a 2' Firestick to the front fender of my Jeep and the design of the firering keeps everything looking nice and tidy. Recommended. Just be sure to get yourself a good ground connection. It makes all the difference.
