This battery kit works really well with my Canon G7. It has a longer battery life than the one that comes with the camera. I was planning to get an original Canon battery. But the price on this one was too good to pass up. Highly recommend it.

Batteries are fine and the charger seems to work very well. The one shortcoming is that the batteries came without the plastic end caps that keep the battery contacts from bridging to something else when being carried.

We were on a two-week overseas trip, taking tons of photos with two Canon SX740s, and the charger allowed us to have fresh batteries at the start of every day. Even the original Canon batteries get used up in a hurry when you're taking video and hundreds of photos, and frequently turning the camera off and on. The FirstPower charger charged its own batteries and the original Canon batteries successfully, and the batteries were accepted without warnings or problems by the SX740s. The SX740s were able to detect and report the battery level for the FirstPower batteries. I didn't notice any significant difference between the Canon and FirstPower batteries capacity. We were able to recharge batteries using our Ceptics plug adapter at the hotel, using the tour bus's USB ports, and from a power brick, overcoming the limitation of the OEM battery charger. Battery fit in the charger is snug, but it didn't cause any problems. The charger gets its power from a USB C connection, which allows for using an alternative, longer cable when necessary.

Their working for what I needed them for. I had purchased a Canon SX620 camera a few weeks ago and since it only comes with 1 battery I decided to purchased some back up batteries for when were out. Since then I returned that camera and purchased the upper camera the SX740 and they hold the same size batteries. The cost of these are in line of others but these are larger size than the camera battery that comes with the camera which is a 3.7V 1250 mAh battery that is Li-ion.I ordered these after looking a while and seen that they were larger size mAh Li-ion and the price wasn't anymore than for ones that were in the 1300 mAh range so I went ahead with this size knowing these will last longer when using. I received them quickly from Amazon 2 days. I didn't have to charge them long since I guess they were somewhat already charged from the company I guess so they charged right up and I like they say their 3.7V 1700mAh and Li-ion. I don't have a tester to see if their that large or not but even if their not but work for what I want them to do I'm ok with that. But one thing I didn't notice till after ordering or I guess I should say is I didn't look to see that it didn't come with a car charger. To me no deal breaker but I guess some people will want that but hey I have 3 batteries and I think that would be more than enough for an outing and I would think a whole weekend without having to recharge 3 of them, I like taking pictures and the Canon book shows that the one battery can take 300 pictures on one battery and it's a 1250mAh battery and these are 1700mAh so I would think it would shoot 400 picture for sure so the three of them you could shoot close to a 1000 pictures, yeah a lot I don't take that many at once but some might.Anyway for the price the extra mAh size battery you get along with a charger and USB cable your doing good I think pretty cheap really for making sure you have the power to shoot when you need to. Good buy really. Thanks
