My one year old loves playing roll.the ball catch the ball with this bc it talks back to her and its super easy for her to roll it and catch it bc it's just big enough for her and it's made from cotton material so it doesn't slip from her hands. It's easy to clean too, you just take the battery pack out and throw in the wash.

My grandchild is a year old so I thought this would be good. It's a week loved toy, but takes an adult kick out push to make noise. Disappointing, because I hoped the baby & pets could okay with it together.

This is my third one, the other two were gifted and the one I have for the grandkids is still going strong after 8 years, same battery. The kids do different things with it at different ages. The babies like to stare at the face, the toddlers like to roll it and hit it to make it talk and sing. It's very durable and has survived dropping, kicking, and throwing. Great toy!

Absolutely love this ball! I'm not sure what other reviewers were expecting. Yes, it plays songs and counts repetitively that may be annoying to some adults, but it what makes your child smile and that's why I'm giving it 5 stars. This has become my child's favorite go to toy which we got for her 1st birthday. She love it so much that she has it all day to when she goes to sleep at night to traveling in the car.During the day she tosses it around and sits it with her when she watches TV. In car rides it's been even better because it's the one toy that can't easily gets tossed to the side where no one can get to it. My child loves playing throw away with hopes it bounces back now. She immediately smiles when she sees it and loves hearing the sounds it makes.I'm of the mindset that as a parent you should reinforce learning with your child so even though it counts numbers and sings songs, I'm not sure it will mean anything to your LO unless you sing along or copy the noises. So again, consider your expectations when purchasing this toy. The sound can easily be turned off or sound lowered and it's also machine washable when you take the electronic insert out. Another plus for me when my LO had an accident throw up on it. Keep in mind also that this is made of cloth material and not the soccer type of material - so don't expect it to bounce or be kicked around like that. But it does roll and can be tossed around with baby.

This toy is a hit! I bought it as a gift for my 1 year old daughter and as soon as she opened it, her 18-month old cousin took off running with it (she didn't mind, she's flexible like that). Since then, every cousin and friend who comes over has to have a turn with it. Some kick, roll and throw it, some like to push the buttons, and others just like to pull on the taggies on the top. Of all of the noise-making toys we've had, this one is one of my favorites. The songs and phrases are pleasant and varied enough that you don't get sick of them quickly. And when you do want quiet, the sound switch is easily accessible (to adults, clever design!) and the ball is still engaging and fun. I've rarely seen a toy appeal to so many age-levels (1-6 in our house) and be pleasing for parents as well.

The recommend age for this product is 6-36months. I figured I'd buy it for a Christmas gift for my daughter since she would be 6 months old by then. However I did not wait and gave it to her early. (She had just turned 5 months when I gave it to her) My daughter really likes this ball. She finds it hilarious when it rolls and music plays. She sits down with it and touches the ball which I can only assume is because of the colors and designs. The ball itself is not as round as a soccer ball but I wouldn't say it's oval per say. Mine arrived as a roundish ball that resembles a pumpkin. The ball is very soft. It's cute and a great buy, I would get this again.
