I have been fishing for going on 70 years, for the last 20 with bass boats and, after retiring to the South Texas Coast, bay boats for shallow bay fishing. Before leaving Texas, I got into kayak fishing and sold my bay boat when we moved to Tennessee. The boats I owned all had plenty of room to have a half dozen rods rigged and ready to go without worry. However, in my late 70;'s having up to four rigged rods in a kayak and having to paddle holds a lot of hooks presenting a constant threat.This product is an answer prayer. My 13.5-foot kayak has a hollow storage area that will hold seven-foot rods easily, but I have never used it much since hooks turn the storage into a tangled mess. Will not happen with these. And with only a couple of rods I can switch lures and put the used ones in a wrap which will eliminate loose lures posing a danger of hooking me. This is a great product to have on board for a fishing trip.

I bought these recently to help keep lures from coming lose on the boat. I was impressed on how well the worked. One of my biggest concerns was the lures snagging on the mesh, I didn't have any issues the couple times I have used them so far. They fit securely and don't mar up the pole. I like that they are mesh as I often fish saltwater and spray down my rods and these allow the water to drain well. They offer good protection from getting hooked and are a great value for the money. Worth the investment to take frustration out of your trips.

These are great! I surf fish, and my husband and I go out in our small boat for salmon. Always a hassle for space and safety when transporting our rods back and forth. These wrap around the fishing rods when they are disassembled or at full length with bait on. We had been using narrow strips of Velcro to cinch down everything. I think I still might use a strip of Velcro to tightly strap pole together, but will definitely will be using these plastic envelopes to further enclose bait and rod for good protection against catching hook on things. These are large enough to handle some big lures.These are a solid sheet of a heavy vinyl with the netting enclosed inside. Velcro is stitched down and travels all the way around envelope. These will be pretty easy to keep clean. Sand always gets in Velcro, I use hose to give it a hard spray, but vinyl will wipe right off. You get four of these. Pretty good value.Definitely will be using!

I stumbled upon these without knowing such a thing existed and ordered immediately. I'm often juggling multiple rods, multiple kids, and too many treble hooks. These are a flexible solution which allows you to still see what lure is attached and verify that it's hooked to the guide or retainer.As some have noted, they can slide up and down a bit depending on where you have it wrapped, but Velcro on all sides means that it will not slide past your lure. The multi-pack makes this a nice one-and-done solution. for smaller hooks and lures and even up to larger crankbaits and buzz bombs.

These lure protectors are definitely one of the nicer ones that I have purchased as of now. The first said I tried were round with a velcro strap in red I thought they were the best thing until I found the rectangle ones with a leather type covering. A plastic on these lore protectors although they seem like they will protect the lure I think a hard enough hit the hook may puncture through the covers. I can't say they are the worst I've ever had but they are definitely not the best. But I also can say some kind of protector is much better than nothing.

This is a very simple but practical designed product! My teen son is constantly going fishing with friends. And given his age, he is not always the most responsible for removing his hooks/lures from the end of his line before storing the poles or even before throwing them in the back of my SUV. When I saw these, I thought- why not give it a try! He and I both were so happy with the results! It fits over almost every lure he uses, the velcro is super strong so he can get a good tight fit around the lure and the rod and it doesn't shift out of place in transit. The best part is no more accidental hooked items or tangled lines in the SUV. I will update after a few more uses on the durability, but so far after several trips, all of the pouches we have used have held up very well. I would pay the full price for these covers. Simple to store and priceless to keep from getting hooked or tangled!
