This is a nice sturdy fishing net. The frame is all metal with a good, grippy, coated handle. The rubberized netting is thick, well-constructed, and seems very durable. The frame is easy to open with just one hand. I like how the frame folds down and the entire net can fit into the provided waterproof bag so it’s very portable. It actually fits right in my fishing backpack! The entire product feels like good quality. I’m very happy with this fishing net!

Very nice set to have on hand. I live on a lake, and like to have lots of extra equipment on hand. THe kids use them for trying to catch minnows and trying to catch sun fish, and the adults for fishing. VERY nice set. HIGHLY recommend.

My son has become a fly fishing maniac now that he lives in the pacific northwest and I've been slowing buying gear so i can spend some time with him doing what he loves when I go to visit. I ordered this net primarily because it is small and easily portable. In particular, I really appreciate how it comes with a storage bag that will let me put the net in a piece of luggage without worrying about any residual water getting on other items. The net folds/unfolds easily and the rubber netting feels like it is thick enough to be durable.I have two criticisms about this net that lead me to drop it to 4 stars. First, I really wish it had a loop on the handle to both make it easier to carry when walking alongside a river but also to make sure I don't accidentally drop it when wrestling with a catch. I'm going to deal with this myself by drilling a hole in the handle, but it is a pretty obvious design gap and worth knocking half a star. The second issue I have is with the product listing. There is a picture in the listing of a fish in a net that is far too large to fit in this net. Furthermore, the net in that picture is obviously not the same net the list is for. The seller does include dimensions and the picture I'm talking about is not the primary photo on the listing so I'm only deducting another half a star.

For around 12 bucks this is a great value. Pretty easy to unfold and the holes are not too large in the net. Pretty easy to fold back up and you can even put it back in the bag if you would like without hassle. Not too much else to say it does but it's supposed to do and it does it well at a good value. I recommend. One note, I would just look at the size and listing this net is a tiny bit smaller than my big green net that I have used in the past.

I got this not for fishing, but for occasional use in catching poultry. While my birds are pretty tame and easy to catch when I'm just offering treats, they seem to read my mind and turn into wild escape artists as soon as they suspect I have ulterior motives like doing a quick physical exam, medicating, moving to a different pen, and etc. I've tried leg hooks made for the purpose, but I'm not quick or precise enough to consistently catch them that way.Nets I've used previously haven't survived flapping wings or scratching toenails as they protest the indignity of being handled... either the netting itself has torn, the handle has become bent, the attachment between net frame and handle has come loose, or the extension handle has begun to spin instead of remaining firmly in place, regardless of how much I tighten the connector. This landing net is perfect for this use! The flat sides allow it to fit tightly against a wall or fence, preventing escapes along the edge that round nets allow; the handle is octagonal so it doesn't spin between sections and is easier to grip firmly; the netting is sturdy and durable yet still soft with its rubberized coating; the frame is strong enough not to bend under the fury of an average sized chicken, and the handle is long enough to give you the reach needed to catch them without having to get inside their flight zone. The net is also an excellent value.

Broke on the first outing. The tang that holds the net on the shaft is like 1 inch long so it's barely holding on. Any weight in the net will shear the tang through the tip of the handle. Happened to me on my first outing. I taped it up. Then it broke again on the extentions. Same issue, when its extended theres no internal support on the handle. It bent and snapped. Don't trust these vine reviews. Don't buy this product. Spend a few bucks more and get one of the other ones with more reviews.
