this set is very impressive. comes with pretty much everything you need to get started fishing. the rod and reel are very decent for the price and the fit and feel are also very good. the reel spools smoothly and the action on the rod is also surprisingly goos as well overall Ím happy with this set

This is a good basic set in a compact package. I found the drag on the casting to be a bit too much compared to my full size fixed rods, but this has the advantage of telescopic rod, so it can easily be packed away into the bag or a small pack. This could be an excellent option for backpacking or camping trips, adding the possibility of getting an extra protein source on the go. It could also be excellent for beginners, since it has all the basics to get started. This is a good enough solution for these scenarios, and at a better value than buying them separately. This is very functional, if you can deal with not casting exactly where you want it.

Ordered this fishing kit for one of the kids to go fishing with. This kit comes with just about everything you need to get started with fishing. This pole is very easy to store as it is telescoping and fits easily back into the case. This pole also has a good amount of flex to get the bait casted out a good distance from the shore or the boat. This kit also includes basic lures, weights, and a hook tool. Having these items included means I did not need to go to the store before going fishing. This kit also includes a reel with a very smooth response. Since we did not catch anything I can not comment on drag or fight with the pole or reel.Overall, a very nice starter kit.

Finally, got my chance to use this new pole and honestly, it's a really nice pole. Really good action on the rod and the reel is smooth. It's a really nice pole for traveling or if you have to walk through rough areas to get to your fishing hole. The lures are good quality too. It's a very nice lightweight pole for crappie or small bass fishing. Anything more than that you'll have to restring and get stronger line (or learn how to use your drag very well). Surprisingly good setup for this price.

This is a really great full set for a telescoping fishing rod. The fact it comes with a whole kit at a competitive price is awesome. There is nothing else you really need to get started with some small pond/lake fishing with this set. The pole and reel are really good quality and feel solid. There is really nothing they could do better with this set.

This is an all in one set of fishing gear that hits most all marks you might need. The rod stores down very small, and when extended stays in place and has a nice amount of flexibility while also staying rather stiff. It won't snap on moderate and appropriate use from what I can tell. I'm not scared it's going to break in half when I land a little bigger fish. The reel is nice, it operates smoothly and the handle folds up super simply and quickly with a little button for folding it in. It comes with some line, but I haven't tested it so I can't say anything on it, it's nice that they include it though, and it's not pre-strung so you can use your own if you prefer like I did. It comes with a nice little assortment of lures and bait. It's not a professional tacklebox by any means, it's very simple and doesn't come with much, but it's a nice little range of a few different options. It also includes your tools like a pair of pliers and a lip gripper. It's a great little on the go rod to throw in your car or take camping/hiking. I have no big complaints. Awesome little kit.
