Alright, let's cast our line into the world of the Adjustable Length Fishing Rod Sleeve.First Impression:"When I unrolled this fishing rod sleeve, my initial thought was, 'Huh, simple.' It’s a straightforward design – a fabric sleeve with adjustable straps. It didn't scream 'high-tech' or 'premium,' but it did seem practical. I was curious to see if it could handle the variety of rods and reels I have kicking around."Pros:"The adjustable length is a definite plus. It genuinely accommodates a wide range of rod sizes, which is fantastic if you're like me and have a diverse fishing arsenal. It's lightweight and easily packable, making it ideal for travel. The material, while basic, feels durable enough to protect rods from minor bumps and scratches. The backable and portable design really does help with organization and keeping your rods from tangling. It's a no-frills solution that gets the job done."Cons:"The material, while durable for light use, doesn’t offer much in the way of serious protection. A hard knock could still damage your rod. Also, the straps, while adjustable, can be a bit fiddly to secure, especially with wet or cold hands. There's no padding, so reels are still vulnerable. And while it claims to fit any model of lure fishing reel, extra-large reels might be a tight fit. Plus, the overall aesthetic is pretty basic. It's not going to win any style awards."Overall Thoughts:"This fishing rod sleeve is a decent, budget-friendly option for protecting your rods during transport and storage. It's not going to replace a hard case, but it's a significant improvement over just throwing your rods in the back of your car. It’s a practical solution for casual anglers who want to keep their gear organized and avoid minor damage. It's a simple, effective tool, but it's not a premium solution."Suggestions for Improvement:"Firstly, add some padding, especially around the reel area. Even a thin layer of foam would make a big difference. Secondly, improve the strap design. Make them easier to adjust and secure, perhaps with quick-release buckles. Thirdly, consider using a slightly thicker, more durable material for enhanced protection. Finally, maybe offer a few different color options to add a bit of personality."Recommendation:"If you’re a casual angler looking for a simple, affordable way to protect your rods, this sleeve is worth considering. It's not perfect, but it does the job. However, if you're a serious angler with expensive gear or you need heavy-duty protection, you might want to invest in a more robust case. It's a good value for the price, but it's a 'you get what you pay for' kind of product."

This is a very large and very heavy duty rod holder, it could hold some deep sea saltwater rods if they break down. It's much too big to fit any of my 7ft rod even ones that break down in half only, and not even into 3 or 4 pieces. Much too large for my 9ft fly rods that break into 4 pieces. This would be good for like a 9ft that breaks into 2, or maybe something crazy like a 13ft rod that breaks into 3. It has a shoulder strap with big heavy duty carabiners. Not only this, but it pictures two of them in the photo, and two different reel covers, this didn't show or tell that it's only one, and that you get one of the reel covers and not the other. So pretty disappointed in how disingenuous the ad seems. This looks like a pack of two, with two different reel covers. Since I can't really use the rod sleeve anyway, even though it's nice, just too big. I would have liked the reel covers, instead I got only one, and it's not really a good size or shape for most of my reels. I'll get some use out of it I'm sure, but not what I was expecting from the advertisement at all.
In my opinion

I thought there was two holders but it only came with one. Pretty straight forward. Good quality material! Super easy to use for biking with fishing poles!

This is a great idea. I've had fishing poles most of my life, and keeping the pieces together and untangled from other rods can be difficult sometimes. The only issue is that when I ordered this, I didn't get to choose a size. Apparently I thought that the "adjustable" meant that you could switch it from S to M to L, but it seems that's not the case. Even when adjusting it to the longest possible configuration on the one I received, it would not fit my smallest pole.Looking back at the product page again, still doesn't look like you can choose a size of product. So unless I get a child-sized rod to fish with, I don't think I'll be able to use this. If this would have fit any of my rods, it would have been a 5 star review for sure.

I was putting these on my rods for the first time and the stitching came apart at the top right at the eye on my rod. I did not apply any more pressure than I do with other similar rod holders or sleeves I use. I looked at the rod cover and noticed the stitching was starting to come apart there as well. For me these are a pass.
