Loved these tools for the price! My son was very excited to use these. They were a good quality and weight. I appreciated the sharpness of the blade and I do believe it will be easy to maintain.

These are both a must have as they come in handing regularly. The split ring plier is nice and having a bigger handle on it makes using it so much easier than others I have had that are overly small. I pull plugs a lot so seems like breaking treble hooks fairly often and this pliers saves my fingernails. The lip gripper is awesome to start kids out holding fish until they work into using their hands. Nice two tool set

Pros:+ I like the locking mechanism, especially on tools with blades, it's really just asking for trouble without the lock.+ The cutter is also on the side rather than at the back of the jaws. This makes it much more accessible.+ The cutting blades are replaceable, and seem to be the standardized size you see on so many pliers and multitools.+ The nose has the bent point on one side, perfect for grabbing hooks and being able to torque it out.+ Titanium and aluminum on the steel, so hopefully rust stays away. I usually wash boat/fishing tools, and then spray them down with cooking spray to keep the rust away.Cons:- Understand that I'm super nitpicking here, but there is a "side" or orientation to these, and the grips don't naturally make it easy to know without looking which "side" is which. Some pliers do this with ridges on the finger side, but this has no ridges, just a very slight curvature in the handle. You want your fingers on the lock side and thumb on the blade side. I'll probably add some heat-shrink tubing over paracord on the fingers side anyways, and then I'll be able to just feel it.Overall, the only con is bending over backwards to nitpick, which is why I didn't take off any stars.

Really good kit to have for catch and release. Both tools worked fantastic for bass and catfish with no issues. The grips held in my hand very well when wet. These are an excellent buy for your standard tackle box

I like these small easy to pack versions of basic fishing tools. A little smaller than I am used to seeing onboard a fishing boat, but super well made and functional. Clearly made from the right stainless steel materials to hold up to corrosive salt water.

I have used this set in freshwater. The lip gripper handles small to mid sized fish fine. I wish it was longer and a bit better built so I could feel more comfortable gripping fish like catfish, that like to twist around and are pretty tough fish that can get pretty big. The lip gripper is good for most bass and smaller catfish. I still have not mastered using the split ring tool, but am able to get it done when I need to change or add a split ring to a lure. This is a decent set, where the split ring tool and pliers combo tool is good quality. The fish lip grabber is fine for a lot of fish, but for fish with big spines, spikes, etc, it would make me feel more comfortable if it was longer to keep the fish a further from me while I situate it off of the hook or putting them in a cooler and not get cut, scratched or spiked.

These pliers are actually better than I expected. They’re solid, cut braid cleanly, and the grip feels secure even with wet gross hands. I like that they come with a lanyard and sheath, though the sheath isn’t great if you’re trying to put them away quickly with one hand. The spring keeps the pliers open, which is useful when you're using them, but not ideal for storage.The fish gripper is decent. Nothing fancy, but it works and feels pretty durable for the price. Overall, it's a handy little set to have on the boat, especially for the cost. Worth picking up if you need a reliable backup or just something basic that works.
