After reading reviews if other less expensive ones, I decided to spend the extra for these. The knob seems to be solid brass and a nice heavy feel. A 1” paddle bit drilled a nice press in fit for the escutcheon.

I used this as a latch on a sailboat cabinet - It's less pricey than some of the marine-specific brands, and works just fine. The latch body is plastic, but the button and metal trim surround appear solid. I had to install a spacer below the body to fit the 1/2" cabinet face - a 3/4" cabinet face or thicker would be ideal. Works well and smoothly!

Took a few minutes to figure out how to position and would have been nice to have some suggestions. Screws for installation would have helped but I had a stock on hand. Once I figured out the system for positioning it went to gether smoothly and they work great.

Metal ring and button, Plastic mechanism housing with metal latch. All of mine work well but stick here and there if door/drawer is too tight or ring is not seated perfectly. I'd say 90% smooth action. (It really is instillation more than the mechanism itself) These are designed for 3/4 inch wood and will need to be shimmed if installing on anything thinner and can go a little thicker as well. All in all I'm pretty satisfied with these. Great product for the price! Installs perfectly with a 1 inch Forstner bit. (way better than a paddle bit for the holes)

Not quite as I expected. The stopper was further back than my original button and hence the doors don't shut tightly.

Ordered these in install in new doors I was making for a storage cabinet in my RV. These are exactly the same as those used on the other cabinets. I does take some woodworking and mechanical knowledge to install these especially the hole for the push button outer ring as it is a press fit. The push button itself screws on and off with shim washers underneath to adjust for door thickness. For me these were a perfect match for my new project.
