Amazons recommendation sizing up here is not the case whatsoever. These shoes run big, like a full size up. And here’s the thing it’s really only this particular model from Five Ten that runs big. I have multiple pairs of Free riders and Pros and they are true to size. I wear size 10, but wear a 9.5 in these with extra room still but have a wide foot. Great traction and the inner sock helps keep dirt and whatnot out of the shoe. In terms of mid/high tops on the market these are my favorite. It’s held up well in super dry summer conditions and I have used these in wet sloppy conditions with minimal issues. Extended exposure to wet conditions will catch up but it’s not a full goretex shoe here so it shouldn’t be expected.

All mountain bike enthusiasts will enjoy this shoe. They bite right into the pedals without a worry. And they are comfortable to walk around in. You don't need to size up. Get your normal size

I wear a size 8 men's and 9 times out of 10, it fits perfectly. The size 8 was too big, sent it back for a 7.5 and still too big, just sent that back for the size 7.Outside of that, they are comfortable, but haven't had the chance to use them on a bike.
