I was looking for a trekking jacket that can offer protection against light rain and medium wind while having a better breathability comparing with dedicated rain jackets or Gore-Tex jackets. Tested the jacket few times in light rain, material repels the water however, not on all areas. You can see some of the rain drops soaking into the fabric, I would say that the material repels about 80-90% of the drops. After approximately 10-15 minutes in the rain the base layers under the jacket feel dump. I didn't applied any extra wax to the jacket, I used it as it comes out of the box. Maybe after I will use more wax the performance will improve. After the first wash it lost most of the water repellency, even though I wash it with cold water and did not used the dryer.Wind protection is disappointing. From all my jackets this is performing the worst, wind passes trough and fabric feels very cold against skin (I was using the jacket with only a T-shirt underneath, same as I do with all other trekking jackets). Since the wind protection is not great the jacket is doing a good job when it comes to breathability.Best thing about the jacket I would say is the design, I am getting an unusual amount of compliments about it.Overall manufacturing quality is very good, only complaint would be the main zipper, the double zipper system is difficult to engage and disengage, I expect it to fail after few months or a year of daily usage (hope I'll be proven wrong).Regarding sizing, I am 6.1 (187cm) and 230lb (105kg) with an athletic built. Large size fit perfectly even though a bit snug when I use a knitted heavy sweater underneath. Jacket is comfortable, sleeves are long and very well designed, they doesn't restrict the movement.Conclusion - an expensive jacket that can be used walks in urban areas and trekking around the city. If you are planning to do more serious alpine trekking/hiking look elsewhere.

I knew I wanted a Fjallraven jacket as I truly support what this Swedish company is about, but I was unsure which of their many jackets the choose from. Review after review, video after video I had a hard time choosing which jacket I wanted. After two weeks of intense searching, I can tell you that the Skogso is the perfect jacket for the northern California climate. This jacket is super functional with every pocket placed perfectly for access to all my gear. Fjallraven is a world class outdoor company that truly focuses on sustainability and environmental consciousness, and I am proud of wearing this jacket in public for these very reasons. Some of the best features of this jacket beyond the pocket placements is how light and breatheable the G1000 fabric is. After watching a ton of YouTube videos, all everyone talks about is the “legendary” G1000 fabric and now I can see why. I took this jacket out today for a 5 mile hike in my local mountain range and it performed perfectly. The jacket is completely packable, and when I got hot, it stowed perfectly in my backpack without taking too much space. Furthermore, if it got cold, I could easily layer with the room this jacket has. I love this jacket, and I am confident anyone who purchases it would feel the same.

Average build at 6’2” 210 lbs and rocking a dad bod. Picked this jacket in XL and length is perfect, chest is comfortable, but sleeves are long. Read reviews that you can have it tailored. If I was wearing layers, jacket would still fit comfortably. Definitely a rain jacket and you need layers to deal with cold.

Good jacket, great materials and build quality. Bit thin and not super warm but great for Sydney winter. Sleeves run a little long otherwise fit is good - Ordered Size S as a 177cm male athletic build -- down one size from usual

Ni parece impermeable ni es chaqueta de invierno.Es un cortavientos muy finito.La talla L para mi que mido 1,73 y 69kg, me queda grande, sobretodo las mangas son enormes.El diseño es precioso.

I bought this jacket for my son, who loves the styling. The jacket fits him as expected (pay attention to the fitting guide!) It's lightweight, warm and pretty durable. I would recommend this jacket for slender/slim body frames because the fit is fairly narrow - not built for someone with a gut or large shoulders.

I love this jacket.Fit: I got a small and it fits perfectly. I'm 6'3", 40L, 31" waist and it is wonderful to have something with sleeves that are long enough with a torso that is not "comfort fit". The torso is slim and the sleeves are long. At the wrist is a snap. If I do not snap it to the tighter size it is quite baggy around the wrists so I snap them every time I put the jacket on. However, I can not take the jacket off with them snapped so I undo them before removing the jacket. The sleeves are sewn slightly bent at the elbow with contributes to the fitted feeling of the jacket.Material: It feels like it will wear very well. I've had it about a year now and and it shows no signs of wear. I have not waxed it and it resists water but is not waterproof by any means. There is no lining in the jacket and it provides a minimal level of warmth but is adequate for cool days and evenings.Price: Fjallraven stuff is spendy but it certainly isn't static. Wait until it goes on sale, here or elsewhere. That said, I feel like I'm going to get the miles from this jacket that it cost.

I was looking for something water resistant that i could wear day in and day out that isnt too bulky and this jacket fits the bill perfectly, its thin enough that i can layer a jumper or two underneath if needed but ive found myself wearing it with only a long sleeve top underneath as its quite warm and keeps all wind/rain out.very happy with the quality and im sure it will last forever, im about 75kg 5'10 and medium fit me pretty well, the sleeves are quite long though, a small may have fit me better but it's quite slim fitting and doesent look bulky at all even though its slightly bigger than usual medium sizing in clothes.the dark grey colour looks very black not solid black but very close i was hoping it would be slightly lighter in colour.all in all im very happy with the purchase i wanted something i can throw on in the rain and remove an underneath layer as the weather changes (cant do that with a down jacket) it looks good in the wild and on the streets as its a little less outdoor spec in style.9/10
