I purchased this to use in conjunction with my Nikon SB-800 Speed Light and my Flash Point R2 Pro N Transmitter. I wanted something more reliable than using the speed light and built in flash commander on my D810 (which works very well BTW) as signal can get lost if not in direct line of sight. I connected everything as it should be, made sure the channels and groups matched. Researched online for settings etc. It worked very well for a few shots, then my speed light would start to make a noise and the LCD would flash on and off and cycle through different modes. I would have to remove the FP Receiver and then remove the batteries from the speed light to get it to stop malfunctioning. I then set it back up in the commander mode with the 810 and fired many shots and it worked like a champ. Tried it with the receiver, same issues again? Maybe it is just this unit? I have MANY Flash Point products from studio strobes to accessories and LOVE THEM! I will reach out to Adorama and have them help me out. I am sure it is just a faulty device and a new one will be fine?

I've been making the switchover to the Godox/Flashpoint ecosystem and this allows me to include my Nikon Speedlights in that system. I can control my Nikon Speedlights remotely by using this and a Godox/Flashpoint controller or flash to control them. I can turn them off, put them in manual mode (from 1/128 to full power), and even TTL with EV control.

This unit is defective when using high-speed sync using a Nikon D810, SB700, R2n Pro transmitter and the R2n receiver. Cannot return it through Amazon which is upsetting that information is not made aware in Amazon. However, Adorama emailed me a return shipping label and I will update my review after receiving the unit. The unit is not defective, it is a design issue with the Yongnuo yn685 Nikon flash, it works with the SB700 flash. This is the reason for the three-star rating. Adorama was willing to take it back but I have decided to keep it to use with the SB700.

Seems like a very good product, however the instructions are very poorly done. Have to go to Youtube to find out how to set it up.

Was not sure if this was going to be compatible with my Yongnuo speed lights, but happy to report this works well with the yongnuo 568ex ii for Nikon.

Excellent product and very easy to use. I control my remote SB-800 and SB-600 flashes with these receivers and the corresponding transmitter mounted to my camera. It is easy to adjust the power output of the flashes independently on the transmitter by putting them into different groups. Please note, the Nikon flashes must be set to Automatic Mode to control the power level via the Flashpoint R2 transmitter/receiver combo. The wireless range is also rather remarkable,,, easily more than 100 feet. Also, I've found Adorama's customer service to be OUTSTANDING thus far.
