Starter Heat Shield Barrier Cover
Starter Heat Shield was designed to protect starters from potential failure caused by under hood heat soak conditions. Constructed using an aluminized heat reflective material backed with a hi-temp rated glass fiber insulation barrier, Starter Heat Shield is capable of reflecting radiant heat up to 2000° F. Simply wrap desired component with Starter Heat Shield and trim excess material. Edges attach to themselves using a hook & loop edge closure design. In most cases there is no need to remove the component when installing Starter Heat Shield.
Additional uses include protecting master cylinders, cool cans, distributors, fuel pumps, and more.
Heat Reflection
This Starter Heat Shield Barrier Cover can withstand high temperature, its reflective surface can still screen off the heat and provide utmost protection, effectively protect parts and components, like painted surfaces and plastic parts, from damaging radiant heat. Reflective temperature of 1000F, withstands radiant heat up to 1800F.
We sewed the Velcro further inward, not the edge, so that the edge of the Velcro would not be easily damaged by the heat of the engine.
Edges attach to itself using a hook & loop edge closure design. In most cases, there is no need to remove the component when installing Versa Shield.
Starter Heat Shield Barrier is capable of reflecting radiant heat up to 2000 degrees Fahrenheit.

Multilayer Design
Fireproof: Highly Reflective Surface Of The Material Is Capable Of Withstanding Radiant Temperatures Up To 1800 Degrees Fahrenheit.
Oily aluminum foil: We use a smooth oily aluminum foil coating, which is different from the water-based aluminum foil coating. The oily aluminum foil coating and the glass fiber cloth have higher bonding fastness, not easy to fall off, better high temperature resistance, and strong and firm.

I bought this to use in an unconventional way - as a wrap for a boiler in an espresso machine rebuild. I turned it inside out, and cut circles out for the fittings on the boiler. Works a charm and not adjacent solenoids aren't getting heated from the boiler.
