I got this impeller and gasket set for my 1982 universal 5411 fresh water Sherwood pump. The ends of the paddles contain thin flaps of rubber from the casting or molding processes that were never removed. They will rub on the back of the bowl and faceplate of the pump and inevitably become contaminants in my coolant. The pieces will likely be small enough to travel through my system and heat exchanger but I would prefer them not being in the system. I'll be flushing this system out again in short order to clean it out and change impeller again as long as I can locate a suitable replacement.
