Well, the dog didn't care too much for it, but I don't think that's any fault of the product...I think it's because it's a bit too small for him. Granted, he's huge. Theo is a 150 pound Alaskan Malamute who thinks he's actually a cat, so I thought a flirt pole might be a great addition to his stash of toys and diversions. And while he does *try* to play with it, the whole unit is simply not long enough to cover a large enough swath for him to really get moving. His reach is remarkable, so he's able to grab it well before it travels far enough for him to have to actually move in order to get it. Kinda defeats the purpose of a flirt pole and isn't much fun for long. My neighbor's 60 pound mixed breed goes nuts for it, however, and will play with it all day long if you let her, though, so...the fun to be had all depends on the individual dog, I guess! The pole itself is well made, though. I love how it can be disassembled and reassembled easily. The soft padded grip is much appreciated by my arthritic hands. The pole seems to be quite sturdy, and so does the rope. Both have held up well through our "flirt" sessions that quickly, inevitably devolve into "tug" sessions with a moose of a dog at the other end of the rope.I love the variety of toys that came included with the pole, there's something for any kind of dog's preference. All of them have held up very well, even the little knotted ball which disappeared mysteriously one day, only to show up later in Theo's "den" (which is just a big hole he dug in the back yard to hide out in and keep his toys), where he apparently used it as a chew toy for several weeks.Overall I think the flirt pole is a great value and is well made. I'm sure it will last a long time even with regular use. I just think it's more suited for smaller, more nimble dogs than my big lumbering guy.

This is the first time I have tried a larger version of a cat toy on my dog. He was very intrigued by it and was into chasing it around but once he got a hold of it, it was game over. He would not let go until he got bored waiting. That said, it is different than other interactive dog toys and does have its place. The pole held up better than I expected and the rope held out admirably as well. It's nice that they give you some replacement bait toys and an extra rope.

This was not interesting to our throw and retrieve boys. For our jumper however, he found this pole entertaining. It’s compact and easy to extend with the telescoping pole. Attaching the toys is straight forward for the 3 included ropes or any toy that has a loop. We’re not sure of the long-term durability because we have a strong and overly enthusiastic puppy. He’s really strong at tug of war so we can’t use this for that game. We’ll use to let him jump and try and reach things but not to catch and play tug of war. We’ll play manual tug of war with the included rope toys. This pole would work for dogs that know how to let go or for playtime with cats. It comes with a bag to store everything and for easy travel. This can be a fun toy for the right dog but with our never let go boy, it won’t hold up.

We got this flirt pole a while back and we been using it for all of our dogs. Our dogs have had a ton of training so they never get too aggressive with their toys. We are able to use these for running, jumping and then also training to break and release. All the materials seem to be well made. The pole is very easy to swing and maneuver. All the pieces are very easy to attach. It's good length and the rope adds some extra length and more flexibility. You can play and lot of fun games with this. It seems like it will last. Super easy to use and the dogs love it. 5 stars.

This is a nicely made flirt pole. I bought one 5 yrs ago - from a well known brand at half the cost - BUT this one is made alot nicer.Pros: the pole is thick and well made. Folds to manageable size and locks in place really nicely. Love that it has a storage bag that is easy to carry. The rope and toys seem to be pretty sturdy as well.I love the fact that you get multiple toys, and 2 ropes. You will also be able to attach other toys with the design as long as they have a loop.Con: the only concern i have is that the rope has no stretch (deducting 1 star). I am thinking this might me an issue for us - but I won't be able to tell until we use it once the weather breaks. I will update with video hopefully in the coming weeks.
