We used it on the floor after removing tiles that was extremely sticky. The directions could have been more helpful. Particularly on a more precise amount of time to leave it on. It said anywhere from a half hour to 2 hours and if you leave it on too long you won't get it up. We kept testing and it wasn't coming up. We got to the 2 hour mark and scraped it off, but by that time some of it was dried on. The floor was still sticky and we had to find other methods to clean it.

I tried the product as instructed on the container and it didn't work on my carpet glue. I tried another spot, covered it with plastic and left it for over 12 hours. It did not faze it at all. It could be that this glue is too old and hardened and probably need something stronger than this.

This stuff is amazing. I am stripping carpet glue off a basement floor which is no easy task and I did not have great hopes for this stuff like so many things descriptions are not actually what the results are. This was not the case followed the direction put a thick layer down and waited 1 and 1/2 hours it came up so easy. The only down side is its going to take probably 3 jugs to do just 1 room but man is it saving me some heavy elbow grease.

I was dealing with trying to remove 50+ year old carpet glue that was saturated into disintegrating carpet and foam padding over a varnished wood floor. The product helped but eventually adding heat and steam after the product was applied was most helpful in scraping the glue residue. I appreciate the low odor and less harsh option for glue removing.

The older stuff with the chemical methylene chloride was the greatest product hands down. thanks to California we not longer can get it. your better off using hot water.

Had to wait more like 5 hours to make removal of old glue easier.
