Good build quality for price. Honestly, if I saw this in store I wouldn’t have got it and probably would’ve wasted money on something more expensive. The fact I ordered this on Amazon unseen in person was a blessing in disguise if that makes sense. It does have a plastic cover over the base plate rather than metal, but once it’s all together there is no way you or anyone could tell. Shade comes off easily and can be laid flat if you choose to really dig in and clean it…just an observation, don’t see why anyone would. Quality is good, sturdy with no wobble, even when pulling on chain. In store this actually might’ve cost a bit more. I have a bad habit of assuming higher cost is always better quality, not the case here. Great quality at more than fair price. I did use Amazon basics light bulbs rather than what they came with, only because I didn’t even know they came with bulbs.

Just what I needed for my room. I like the slim profile which makes it easy to put anywhere. Perfect height to peak over my bedframe. The shade doesn't let out too much light to make it obnoxious. I prefer the pull chain instead of turning a knob to turn it on. Exactly what I needed for this space.

I would like to say the lamp base is sturdy and heavier than it looks, and this is good thing. Next screwing the lap sections into place was easy enough. Then the lamp shade assembly. You are going to need the directions for this one. Do not throw away the directions. The directions do not say a lot, but the pictures help when trying to figure out how to snap the lamp shade onto the rings. Lastly, make note of the direction of the bottom ring while snapping on the lamp shade. This the part that will go on to the base of the light where the bulb is attached. There is plastic ring that may or may not be on the actual light bulb base. You will need to know when to attach this plastic ring. The bulb that comes with it has 3 light settings which I love. Yellow dim, Bright white, and Bright yellow.It’s perfect for a small room that needs light but you don’t want to over power the room with “hey look at me! I am a large lamp taking over your room” If you put a chair in front of it and maybe a medium sized plant, I don’t think anyone would even notice there si a working light in the same area. It blends well. I recommend it. I personally think it is good reading light.

We got this lamp and originally it would have 3 color settings if you pull the string in quick succession. We use LED bulbs and we were impressed. However, maybe 6 months ago or so the lamp doesn’t do the 3 settings. We have to pull the string 3 times in quick succession to get it to turn on at all, and it only turns on on the bright white setting. Pretty disappointing

This standing lamp is bright, has a sturdy and heavy base, and convenient to place if you hate the look of cords everywhere like I do; HOWEVER, the shade came bent and although I tried to re-roll and get them out, they won’t budge. The company should’ve wrapped the shade around a cylinder when packing. Also, the shade is a bit thin and so the seams can be seen when the light is on (see pics) which distracts from the aesthetic. The pull chain is convenient - much easier and cleaner to activate than with floor switches - and the lamp comes with a bulb that offers three different lighting modes: golden, true white, and a mix of both (the setting I use). The brightness is excellent. It’s a shame about the shade as I’ll have to spend more to replace it. If it wasn’t for the shade this lamp would be perfect and I would’ve given it 5 stars. 💔
