The puzzle is made up of 79 large pieces that are made for small hands and are easier for young children to handle. The jigsaw is big, about 23”/58cm in diameter - so it needs a bit of space to be able to lay out all the pieces, and then complete it. It also needs a firm surface so that the puzzle can lie flat and the pieces can be pressed into place - a soft carpet isn’t the best option. The jigsaw is of good quality and packed in a very nice, sturdy gift box, and there is a poster-sized picture of the puzzle in the box – it would make a lovely present. I'm a teacher. I have a few students that need "mindful" breaks and they love the puzzle table. One student has been asking for dinosaur puzzles. Glad to spend my money on these.

We bought this on the recommendation that it would help our granddaughter learn to read. She loves it. When she visits she always selects this puzzle to work on. I think it works.
