Had to use plank insulation spacers with them but the spacers were useless against base boards that were above the floor. Together everything was fine and able to hammer against them to close plank gaps. Could not complete the job without them.

Put in laminate wood flooring. First bought the only available spacers they had at Lowe's. Those did not work in the least. Most homes will have a gap between the sheetrock and the subfloor. The Lowe's spacers would not stay in position, constantly sliding into the gap with every piece of flooring we tried to install. This would leave us with the need to readjust the whole floor every time we put a new piece in. If we didn't, the cuts would be off causing us to waste pieces. Looked online for a better solution and found these. For some reason, not available in any hardware store I looked at. They worked exactly like spacers are supposed to. The design prevents the spacer from sliding into the gap. Shaved off our install time by probably 2-3 days since we didn't have adjust the whole floor every time. Would definitely purchase again and saving these for our next project. A+++

I'm doing a lot of remodeling in my house, including adding laminate floors in the bathroom, kitchen and 2 bedrooms. I figured for the price, why not try these. I'm impressed with ease of use. Consistant spacing, easy removal, didn't mark up the walls that were just painted. The only issue is, if you're not paying attention, they can tilt or pop-out. This isn't a product issue. It's an installer issue. When things are crusing right along, all of the snapping and tapping of the flooring can make them come loose, so keep that in mind.

The large surface area on the back helps them stay in place and makes it harder to pop out. I thought that i could get away with it 3/8" piece of plywood.....not one of my better ideas. I did a 1,500 SF floor and not one of them broke or cracked. They also were the perfect spacing for the metal tapping bar at the end of a row. My only negative is that they are too nice to throw out.....but I never want to do another floor again. I think that I will repurpose them in my paint booth.

As a flooring contractor that has been using tile spacers for many years, we are very impressed with these spacers!These work so so much better than the little rectangular ones that have been sold at the depot for 25 years. They bite better and are easy to lift up and can smack down if you need to. If you are doing a small room and want to save money cool, but these are really really nice.Wouldn't install a floor without these. So much better than the traditional black blocks and actually stay in place without taping or any extra effort. Can be repositioned to fit tighter areas as well if required. Versatile.

I am currently using theses spacers for the upper floor of my house. I have use the black shim spacers in the past and there is no comparison. With these spacers I was able to start my first 4 foundation rows in a complex installation with ease. A tad bit expensive but well worth it for eliminating the headache of the shims falling out and your foundation rows moving
