These magnetic clips are ideal to use on clothing or fabrics, or even as fridge magnets. The magnets are very strong. If not for the obvious white printed branding on both sides of each clip, these would be 5 stars from me. I'll be covering that white text up with a sharpie.

We did not use these clips for it's original intent. However, we did test this on a suit lapel, and it held very strong. We even thought that you could double this as a tie clip. There is writing ("FLORAL CHAPERONE") on the sides of the clip, but that is hidden out-of-sight behind the item you are attaching to. They included a white plastic separator that the magnet holds which is probably for shipping, storage or ease of separation purposes. So, if you have some sensitive fabric, you could use this plastic to separate the magnet. We actually intended to use these clips as a way to hold a paper sheet in various locations of a home gym. That worked great. The paper we wanted to hold is a small paper-clipped series of workout exercises and we orientated a few of these clips in various locations on the home gym to hold this without interfering with the adjustments. You can get the plastic with small magnet clips they sell at office stores, but those cannot withstand much weight. These clips can hold roughly up to ten 8-1/2 inches wide by 11 inches tall sheets of paper. The magnet could hold more, but it's the teeth that will not hold many more sheets of paper without sliding free. I compared this to a magnet clip from an office store mentioned earlier, and that magnet itself slid from the magnetic surface with ten sheets of paper. So, in summary these clip magnets are very strong and I don't believe they will have any problem holding a decorative item on your suit or dress, and holding items for other reasons as well. There is an instructional video, but it's pretty simple to figure out. Made in China.
