About this item

  • Improved Horsepower, Torque and Engine Efficiency
  • Excellent choice for large displacement vehicles
  • Minimal interior resonance
  • Mild to stock exterior exhaust tone

The Super 50 series muffler is a larger version of Flowmaster's 50 series Delta Flow muffler. Originally designed for trucks and SUV's, it is also well suited to muscle car and high performance applications. In addition, the larger case size significantly reduces interior resonance and provides a deep, rich tone along with mileage and power gains. Constructed of 16 gauge aluminized steel and fully MIG welded for maximum durability.

Sounds nice not load and doesn’t attract attention. Just sound more like a SUV/Truck should. Now I’ll add K&N cold air intake and it should be perfect.

Replaced stock muffler on my Silverado 1500 w 6.2 ltr engine. It sounds just right, fits with no issues, just do not understand why Amazon says it doesn't fit?

Wow! Just what our 2011 Lincoln Navigator needed. We sold our Escalade ESV and bought the Navigator because the spaciousness and legroom of the third row seat. I was however disappointed in the dearth of accessories and aftermarket items such as suspension, exhaust, etc.On our previous Denali XL and Escalade ESV, we spent a ton and bought Corsa Cat Backs. The only Cat Back available for the Navigator is Magnaflow. But $700 for a Magnaflow? No thanks. Plus, over the years and a ton of wasted money, I've come to the conclusion that just changing out the mufflers brings the same smile factor. Boy was I right! This Flowmaster Super 50 is exactly what I wanted in a family rig.At start up it sounds deep, authoritative but but guttural. Just smooth. Think James Earl Jones! At low speeds and revs the exhaust note remains powerful. Yet at highway speeds it's about stock with ABSOLUTELY NO REAONANCE (DRONE) whatsoever. Hallelujah! The reason I bought expensive Corsas and B&Bs (for our H2) in the past was largely due to the zero reaonance factor.I can honestly say the Super 50 on a Navigator has zero drone! The tailpipe resonator is a factor in this but still, I can't say enough about this inexpensive way to spice up a somewhat subdued family hauler. Also, IMO, cat backs are a waste unless you absolutely go high end like Corsa. Not sure why someone would get a Flowmaster or Magnaflow cat back when a muffler from the same make gives you a great sound for a fraction of the money. The theory that a cat back or even a change in muffler will yield better horsepower, mph or throttle response holds minute statistical significance. It's all about the sound. You're rig hasn't miraculously become faster. Your perseption is altered by the fact that you love the sound so you're mashing the pedal! :)Back to the Flowmaster. I did call Flowmaster first and they pointed me in the right direction. Also don't reply on their videos. Doesn't capture the sound depth and the simple media we all use struggles to bifercate the notes you want to hear. In person experience is the best. Thanks again Flowmaster! Best $200 I spent.Install on a Navigator was $135 because they needed to make minor modifications.

Works great in my 2007 Grand Cherokee Limited 5.7L. Nice rumble at idle but fairly quiet when up to speed. A bit of drone on highway.I wish it was a little louder but I think a 40 series would have been too loud. So I'm happy.

Worked out great on a new 2016 Ford F150 5.0 V8, that sounded like some old grandpa's Crown Vic. Didn't want to do a cat-back just yet after just shelling out a bunch of money a couple days ago. And now really don't think I will. Called Flowmaster tech support and this was the closest match we determined best replacement for my trucks OEM muffler with its 3.0" intake offset and 3.0" out offset same side on the original. Of course this Flowmaster 53056 muffler offset-in and center-out and a few inches shorter. I decided to take it to a local muffler shop instead of me trying to wrestle with the replacement and just get it welded and properly done. Took him about 30 min and a little 3" pipe and hangers it was done for less than a hundred. I am sure it could be done for cheaper. Its hard to explain a sound with words but I will try to express it here.Wow! Now it sounds like a truck. With a noticeable change over the stock. I was worried it would be non-existent same as OEM but the sound level is deep, low and mild tone. I have had Dodge Vipers, Roush Mustangs, a few nice rides in the past couple of years that sounded great directly from the factory. This is along those lines, a factory muscle car sound that doesn't drive you crazy going down the boulevard but wakes up, noticeable and throaty when you get on it. Perfect!

Great sound for single exhaust, not very loud, very little rumble inside. I would have like it a little louder.
