Just installed this the other day on my 2003 Avalanche Z71. Went with 3" from the cat back. This muffler definitely added a good boost to the sound. I've installed 40s on other vehicles before but this one seems to have a bit more interior resonance than the others I've had, but also possibly because this is a 3" model with more air flow. Great choice though, sounds great!

as always a quality product from flowmaster. I could have saved a couple of $$ purchasing it else ware but the small savings wasn't worth the convenience of Amazon.

Had it installed on my Expedition with the expectation of an aggressive sounding exhaust and its not. Very disappointing and I am feeling sad about it. I wish I would have gone with the very aggressive, most aggressive because that was probably what I was looking to hear out of my truck. Good quality product!!!

The description of this product stated it was stainless..it isn't, at least the one i received wasnt. Unfortunately I waited so long to get it that I needed to use it.

Used 2 single mufflers off the catalytic converter instead of one large muffler, and the sound resonating out the pipes was so unique and aggressive, I'm so pleased with the setup!

Truck sounds great. It really opened up the exhaust on my 5.3 Silverado. It's not too loud, and works well for a daily driver. I'm in a neighborhood with other houses close by and I didn't want something so loud it would wake the neighbors... But once I'm out of the neighborhood, I can goose the throttle a bit and really begin to hear the engine. Right now the truck is just a hint quieter than some of the other replacement cat-back systems.
