A waveless fluid chamber has fiber elements inside the water chamber that inhibit the flow of water. This will dampen the wave-effect in the mattress and create a more stable surface with less partner disturbance. This was easy to set up, heated up in about 24 hours, and has been wonderfully comfortable since the moment I got it set up. This is for a SOFT SIDE waterbed setup.The biggest con of this replacement mattress is that it does not come with bleed valve attachments or the attachment to fill from the hose. You must purchase them if you are going to want them. It also does not come with the one-way valve to "burp" the bed.All in all, the quality is good, and after a few weeks of sleeping on it, I am thrilled with this purchase.
