About this item

  • 40 Watt Day Time Blue Heating Bulb produces radiant heat for reptiles and amphibians during the day light cycle
  • Provides UVA rays that stimulate normal feeding behavior in reptiles.
  • Provides heat for reptiles and amphibians through infrared light.
  • Reptiles are ectothermic and depend on their environmental temperature to regulate their core body temperature.
  • Keeps your Reptiles and Amphibians Healthy and Happy with the appropriate Terrarium Temperature

Fluker's incandescent light bulbs provide the radiant heat (infrared light) that reptiles need. Reptiles are ectothermic and depend on their environmental temperature to regulate their core body temperature. If a reptile is not provided an appropriate environmental temperature  range (ETR), it may be predisposed to chronic infections. Because ETR's vary from species to species, ask your pet professional or review available literature for guidance in determining the appropriate ETR for your pet.

Last flickers bulb I got was a basking one and only lasted 2 months, I like the lighting from this one better anyhow, less intense, hoping it lasts longer but will update if it doesn’t for those looking to buy but unsure.

We have been using this bulb for over 15 months, 12+ hours a day and it still works! I'm going to move up to 60 watts since this doesn't seem to warm the 20 ft cage enough.

After seeing a lot of reviews talk about their bulbs burning out too quickly, I was a bit nervous to try this bulb out. However, mine lasted 10 months and it was perfect for my crested gecko. I highly recommend people to buy a 40-watt bulb for their cresties. The terrarium stayed at a nice room temperature (71-76 degrees Fahrenheit), and never gets too hot. Though, I also live farther up north where it's colder, so keep that in mind.

The light does not glow blue but the bulb is blue. It just glows like a normal lightbulb.

This bulb was half the price and works better (produces more heat) than other reptile bulbs I’ve used. No problems after about a month of use. Hint: I’ve noticed these bulbs last longer if you allow them to cool down for about 30 minutes for every four hours they are on.

Why did I pay 9.81 for 1- 40 watt bulb...and 6.71 for 2 -60 watt bulbs...I dont understand why pricing is like this...The picture clearly shows 5 light bulbs ..I feel misled by this product.
